25.01.2022 Belated Season's Greetings everyone!! Wow! Where has the year gone?! Apologies for the lack of updates recently. As I'm sure you can relate, life does get pretty busy and hectic. Got a couple of announcements to make but just a bit of exciting news I wanted to share first. Not long after I wrapped up with the production of "Cats" at Mt Lilydale Mercy College, one of the staff in the music department asked me to come on board to assist the students involved in the national pr...ogram Kool Skools. This is an amazing program where a number of schools sign up to present students with the opportunity to compose their own original songs (of course there are some who perform covers). Once they have completed their pieces and organised all necessary orchestrations and dynamics, they proceed to record their songs at Studio 52 in Collingwood. So I was brought in to give some assistance to a few students in need of piano accompaniment, and putting a tune to their lyrics. One of these students was Georgia who wrote a song based on some of her life experience. We instantly collaborated very well together and the end result was fantastic. In November there was a national awards night where several students across a number of schools attended and performed. Georgia's song 'Piece By Piece' received the award for Best Ballad! Another student from Mt Lilydale, Charli, was presented with two awards for her song 'Fighter'. This was a great win for the girls and especially the school being their first year involved in the program. :) It's looking very likely Mt Lilydale will sign on to resume running the program again next year. This is also an update to let you know, if you're free this Saturday at 10am, I'm playing a few carols down at Warrragul Library (will find out the exact address asap) with a few friends. We had a rehearsal on Sunday and their vocal harmonies sound excellent! Also next Saturday night (December 19th), I'm back playing at the Warrandyte Carols By Candlelight at Stiggant's Reserve (57 Yarra Street, Warrandyte) doing some accompaniment for the Melbourne Gospel Choir and Sarah Valentine. It's looking to be an awesome program lined up!! Bring a picnic blanket to sit on! Hope to see you there! Feliz Navidad!!

It's hard to believe that 7 years have gone by since I met Anthony and the many wonderful performers at Mt Lilydale Mercy College during their production of "Grease". It's also Anthony's birthday this weekend, so come on by, shake a hand or give a hug, sit back and enjoy some great easy listening tunes. Details below :)

19.01.2022 G'day all! Hope everyone's keeping warm amidst the cool change in weather. Happy *belated* Mother's Day to all the mums out there :) Some exciting news to share. I've been selected for the rehearsal pianist role with Croydon Parrish Players production of "Hairspray". The show is scheduled in October and cast auditions are less than two weeks away. So I'm bashing away at the piano (and sipping coffee) in preparation for that. I'm also booked in for a couple of functions and wedding receptions soon. If you'd like to get in touch about doing music for any upcoming events, let me know asap, the calendar's booking up quickly. Travel safe guys :)

I'm doing some piano accompaniment for Renae Mockler, Agnieshka Sliwinski-Markwell, Sarah Valentine and Melbourne Gospel Choir. 16.01.2022 Hey all. Hope you're well. It's been a busy time this last month. I was recently helping out with a high school production of "Cats" in Lilydale. I'm glad my days of playing "Skimbleshanks The Railway Cat" are well and truly behind me.....for now anyway lol If you're free this Saturday night, I'm playing a jazz set at St Silas Anglican Church (16 Osburn Avenue, Balwyn North) with a couple of guys. We'll be providing a bit of ambience as the church is hosting a coffee and dessert evening. We're shooting for an 8:15pm or 8:30pm start depending what time people rock up. Entry is free but it'd be great if everyone could give a gold coin donation to the church. Hopefully see you there :)

12.01.2022 Dear family, friends and fellow appreciators of culture, let me take another moment to wish you all Happy New Year! I still can't wrap my head around how quickly last year flew. Hope you've all had a chance to recover from the busy and festive season. This is a post regarding my music services on offer for 2016. In the last few years my level of music work experience has ranged from tutoring intermediate level piano/keyboard, performing in duos for various events and functio...ns, playing in bands for school productions, and providing accompaniment for vocalists ranging from auditions to performances. I pride myself on being punctual, sociable, and properly rehearsed ready to perform for any occasion. Like any artists seeking to make a living from their field and vocation, there is a need for financial payment which can be negotiated, but keep in mind this covers travel costs, setup and pack up of equipment, and time spent rehearsing (or transposing songs as per request) in preparation for said service. So if............ 1) You're wishing to start learning beginner piano/keyboard OR 2) You have a wedding or special event coming up OR 3) You're a vocalist in need of piano accompaniment OR 4) You have a school production in the upcoming few months... let me know so we can open up the calendar and lock in some dates and times :) NOTE: this year I'm hoping to purchase and acquire some video/sound recording equipment to upload more song covers, and maybe even do some collaborations with a few singers. So stay tuned :)
