22.01.2022 Light floods the dining room of this sleek private residence, with carefully considered window placements brightening the space, as photographed by @dionrobeson. A starkly monochromatic palette is used to provide a masculine and contemporary edge, accentuated by the large scale @ellecampbellart piece, 'I Wish You Were Here.' This work draws the eye upwards, emphasising the vertical space of the room and further adding to a sense of volume and expansiveness. 22.01.2022 Having worked with clients to inject their unique sense of style into a space, my own home reflects items of individual beauty which have resonated with me over the years. Waking up in a four-poster bed of my own design, I am greeted by my @lost_profile_studio lamp sitting atop a Pyrite mineral formation from the National History Museum in London. With so many of us spending more time than ever at home, it is imperative that your personal space is an expression of self. Photography by @timothykaye

21.01.2022 One of the largest projects we have worked on, the KBS Residence is an exquisite showcase of stunning craftsmanship and considered design. With a monochromatic palette, the visual language of the kitchen is an ode to the moon at night, with lunar craters reflected in the texture of the Dolomite stone and black stained oak joinery. Custom black powder coated steel finishes and orb-like wall lights were included to further reinforce the sculptural roundedness of the moon.

20.01.2022 When designing a space, Nickolas Gurtler uses colour rather than pattern as a visual guide to draw in the eye and anchor composition. By developing curated spaces and vignettes which are pieced together, every corner of the space is considered, resulting in a cohesive overall whole. 17.01.2022 The original inspiration for this brief was a blend of contemporary homes in the Hamptons and boutique hotels in LA. Throughout the conceptualisation process, we worked with our client to reach a unique point of difference for their family home. Working to a contemporary monochrome palette with brushed white walls and cooler palettes, we injected plush textures and bold accents to warm up the space. 15.01.2022 Nickolas Gurtler understands how the eye travels across a space. In the words of Diana Vreeland, The eye should travel but never get stuck. Our design aims to draw attention to the finer details, creating a space that feels panoramic. Every touchpoint should be engaging, and exciting, overflowing with wonder and a sense of playfulness. 14.01.2022 See the incredible transformation of this space. From a regular bathroom, to one of our favourite designs, this client wanted us to capture the luxury of a hotel lobby in their home. Taking cues from New York's Art Deco era, we utilised natural stone and ribbed glass doors to create a chic and sophisticated space. The golden era elegance of pampering is reinforced through the ceiling height bathroom mirror. Now reminiscent of a glamorous hotel, this family is on permanent holiday at home. Located on the third floor landing, the custom joinery sits on beautiful Belgian Oak flooring and enjoys a view over the light filled void. Incorporating a skylight into this private residence allows ample light to enter and brighten the space, creating a sense of warmth amongst the monochromatic and masculine palette. 05.01.2022 Glimpse into our work for the upcoming WCS Residence, a stunning family home designed to be a forever space. With a lower basement wine bar to accomodate our clients' years of wine collecting, coupled with an enormous walk-in closet replicating a fashion boutique, existing family items can be proudly displayed and honoured at every touchpoint, resulting in an exceptional space which exudes taste and class.

05.01.2022 Vivacity and joy permeates this private Perth residence. Our client had a strong affinity for colour, which allowed us to create a space which offers a perfect harmony of expression and culture. Sculptural, low maintenance plants and an earthy palette formed the foundation of this design, inspired by the Moroccan desert. A bespoke asymmetrical cabinet was custom designed by us to add a point of interest within the room, complemented by spherical lighting and patterned furniture to create the perfect entertaining space. Boasting brushed white walls, and a blue-grey palette, we were able to achieve the effortlessly cool atmosphere of an international hotel lounge in the comfort of this Perth family home. 02.01.2022 Got some amazing feedback from our clients on the concepts for our WCS Residence en-suite so we thought we would share it with you all. Inspired by luxury hotel bathrooms, it features Elba and Colombo Stone, black steel and reeded glass with graphite finish tap ware.

02.01.2022 3 days. 150+ designers. 1000+ hours pledged. So humbled to have so many designers and design firms get on board with the idea. Its been a massive undertaking and Im honestly exhausted but its been so rewarding and has renewed my faith in the human spirit.
