25.01.2022 Two baptisms on consecutive weekends for your hard-working photographer. Today's baptism was all about this little champion, pictured here enjoying some downtime after the service. Next up are two weddings - one in the Blue Mountains and one in Luna Park! For the first time since I started my little photography business, I'll be raising my rates at the end of this month. Get in now to grab a portrait shoot or a wedding package before prices go up!

25.01.2022 We've been meaning to get some of my images printed for years - never done it before - and this week we finally got round to it. Lizzie has always loved this shot of yachts coming past North Head and into Middle Harbour at sunset, so we had it made into a canvas for our living room. Do you have a space that is crying out for some artwork? Are you looking for a great present for somebody? I've got lots of great images of Aussie life that are ideal for display in a home or office and I'll take all the hassle out of it for you by handling the ordering, framing, delivery etc. Drop me a line!

23.01.2022 Against all the odds, I ended up shooting a wedding one night this week! I was booked to shoot an April wedding for a couple, and then all the restrictions around the Coronavirus started to kick in. Long story short, it was brought forward to the final day of the "20 people" limit, after which the limit would have been 5. I was stoked to see these wedding chocolates, featuring one of my images from the couple's engagement shoot. What a great idea! If you're planning to get married when all this craziness comes to an end, drop me a line! Every wedding shoot includes a free engagement shoot...

21.01.2022 As I'll be out of town for new year, I'll take this chance to thank all my customers for their business and wish them a happy and safe 2020. This year has been a good one - a nice mix of engagements, weddings and family shoots, with two families coming back to me for the third time. Thanks folks!

15.01.2022 Well, that was a great weekend! I had a fun photoshoot with a couple and their beautiful newborn of 5 weeks on Saturday, and on Sunday I met with a couple who signed up with me for their wedding photography in February. Sounds like it's going to be a great day, with the reception afloat on the harbour :) If you're getting married and you haven't decided on a photographer yet, drop me a line! You'll find me creative, organised and easy to work with. Take a look at the gallery at www.nickwphotos.com for an idea of my style.

11.01.2022 ** please don't tag anyone in the photos if you know them - thanks! ** Back for my third portrait session with this lovely family recently - this time with the extended family, as everyone was in town for Christmas. Very happy with the impromptu shot of the girls, who wanted to show me their ballet moves :)

10.01.2022 Newborn shoots can be tricky, but this little fella behaved really well for me a couple of weeks ago. Ain't he lovely?!

07.01.2022 Something a little different for me yesterday - shooting a baptism for a lovely couple. Here are some portraits that I shot before and during the ceremony...

06.01.2022 Govett's Leap, Blue Mountains NSW. The weather app said "3 degrees, feels like 1". That's being generous! #australia #destinationnsw #bluemountains #landscape #monochrome #blackandwhite #govettsleap #mountains #clouds

06.01.2022 After riding Bells Line Of Road on my motorbike earlier this week, I returned the following day in the car to get some shots of the aftermath of the bushfires. For anyone who doesn't know: it should be nothing but green up there at the moment, with everything in full leaf. Any bare branches or New-England-in-the-fall colours are courtesy of the bushfires. It was such a surreal experience walking round this alien landscape, still burning in places. Very quiet too, with no wildlife except grasshoppers and flies to be seen. Not good... #australia #bushfires #sydney #bluemountains #bellslineofroad #disaster

04.01.2022 Text message at 0715: "We've moved our wedding to today - can you still shoot it?". I donned my cape and headed off for the service, which had been moved forward to coincide with the last day of the 20-person limit on gatherings, after which it went down to 5 (oh for those heady days when you could still gather as a 5!). Anyway, it was a lovely wedding - streamed live for those who couldn't be there, with one bridesmaid participating via phone and tablet as she was still in self-isolation. I'm looking forward to shooting the big reception next February when God willing, all the craziness around the virus will be over and done with :)
