16.01.2022 When you harbour a negative thought, the key is to not say it. As Lewis Howes, host of the 'School of Greatness' podcast explains: "Don’t say it out loud... as you’ll speak it into existence...once you start saying it out loud to someone else, that’s when your body starts to believe it even stronger and it gets harder and harder to go back to a confident place. Don’t say it and you have a chance."... He discusses a #NavySealMindset with former Navy Seal, Chadd Wright, who agrees it ultimately impacts how we behave. He likens it to a rudder... Here are some helpful tips (and from personal experience): Take baby steps towards your goals. Surround yourself with a supportive tribe. And feed your mind with constructive content (you can tune into Lewis Howes' interview with Chadd Wright here btw: http://bit.ly/2Ogi8WD).

15.01.2022 Stoked to be invited back to present and join our women in dairy rockstars at the upcoming Bale Up conference. Having grown up on a dairy farm and covering dairy as a rural reporter, our dairy farmers and of course the girls hold a special place in my heart. And still living in the country with farmer hubby, one grab’s any chance to meet - and empower - other women on the land!

14.01.2022 Ever had a brilliant idea while having a shower? Or maybe while driving, baking, or housework. May seem a bit mundane to get a dose of inspo but it's more common than one may think. Think about it, what were you doing when a great idea surfaced? It's highly possible it was during a habitual task. ... Why? It seems our mind, when relaxed, goes off on a wander. Put simply, our subconsciousness hooks up with our conscious mind, sharing ideas and solutions it’s been working on in the background. That’s when the lightbulbmoment comes. More so when we’re in a positive mood. Curious? Check it out here http://bit.ly/2HBZ15U. Oh, and let us know when and where a dose of inspo has hit you. Have a super weekend!

11.01.2022 Are you emotionally attached to your mug? Why does it mean so much to you? Does it remind you of a memory, someone special... something sentimental? How would you react if someone....dare I suggest drank from it? (gasp in horror! ) Or accidentally broke it? (insert tears )... It got me wondering why is it that a ceramic coffee mug could mean so much and even have what seems to be a psychological effect. Each time I drink from my fave mug (pictured), I actually start to feel freakin awesome (even if tired). As does hubby's with Winston Churchill's quote getting him psyched, while the one from Ollie makes him proud and affectionate. So I did some research which confirmed my suspicion on why we become attached, even possessive, of our mug. Stay tuned. In the meantime, share a pic of your favourite mug and why it means so much to you.

06.01.2022 It’s been awhile since I baked shortbread after a dud batch experience. But I had another crack while using the time for some 'inspo therapy' for an upcoming event. 04.01.2022 Who else does this resonate with? Starting out in business, a job, position....anything new or unfamiliar can sometimes see us distracted by what others are doing. Here's what I've learnt: Follow your passion, not someone else's, and your people (your tribe) will come to you. ... It's the person, not the product, that initially people are drawn to for many reasons including personality. Kind of like a relationship but on a professional level! As demonstrated at the recent AICI (Association of Image Consultants International) conference where image consultant colleagues each had and owned their uniqueness and story that attracts different clients. For me, it's specialising in body language and communication, in addition to image, to indulge in a passion and intrigue in human behaviour. And that's the kind of person I attract and love working with. Own your story, follow your passion, highlight your uniqueness. Have an awesome week!
