07.01.2022 Many years ago I watched an interview with a Grazier near Cooma talking about the impact the wild dogs were having on his life. It was the most heart wrenching interview. His pain, anger and frustration was laid bear for all to see. It broke my heart. Since then I have wanted to do an artwork to tell his story. So here it is. I tried to get it into the Kilgour Art prize but had no luck. I also thought I’d brave it and try the Sulman. Still no luck. But that’s the life of an artist. So now I’ve decided to post it so that you can all see it. I don’t usually paint such dark images but it is a story that needs to be told. 03.01.2022 It’s been a long time between BLOGS. Lots of things have happened since then both personally and world wide. We are told that life will be a new normal so I guess we have to embrace it as best we can and ‘keep calm and carry on’ and find joy in the things we can do. For the life of an artist the shut down hasn’t been all bad. We love the idea of being told to stay at home and work. My life has never been busierand I’m sure I’m not alone. My second book about the dogs was o...fficially released just as Covid hit, so that made it a little tricky to get my books from the printers into the bookshops. However, several businesses and shops have supported me over the last months to get my book out there, so thank you. Tell me about your new book, you ask? It’s called You Can’t Find Me - The two dogs are back, this time with their new colourful friends, ‘the ten little frogs’. In this story the dogs and frogs play hide and seek in the garden. There is lots of counting, colour, rhyming, humour and action. A perfect book to teach numbers and colours to your preschooler. A perfect gift for a new baby. Want a copy? It’s easy!
