25.01.2022 My next Community Catch Up will be held on Tuesday 17 November at Blend Cafe & Pizza Bar in Melville at 10am. Come on down for a coffee on me and share your ideas for our community!

25.01.2022 Thanks to East Fremantle Football Club CEO Todd Shimmon for talking me through the planned redevelopment of East Fremantle Oval and sharing with me details of the clubs community outreach. One of its community programs is a partnership with the Leeming Senior High School Education Support Centre, where students help out with gardening projects. Its great to see a local club giving back to the community!

25.01.2022 It's important that our State Government supports good local projects, backs our small businesses and creates jobs. I joined East Fremantle Mayor Jim O'Neill and CEO Gary Tuffin to update WA Liberal Leader Liza Harvey on upcoming projects in East Fremantle. I will work with the Town of East Fremantle and with Liza to make our community an even better place to live and work.

25.01.2022 Today I met with Nat, who started her own business a year and a half ago, which helps Indigenous Australians to obtain drivers licenses so they can secure jobs. Nat identified that one of the biggest barriers to gaining meaningful employment was not having a license. She is helping people to overcome that barrier so they can join our workforce here in Western Australia. What a great initiative! Well done Nat!

24.01.2022 Happy Australia Day! What a privilege it is to call this beautiful country home. For many years now, I have attended the City of Melville’s Australia Day breakfast and Citizenship Service. This morning was no different. ... Every year I get emotional as I reflect on how much I love this place and how grateful I am to live here. I love that we have a day where we can reflect on our history, enjoy the present moment and hold hope for the future. Not everything in our history is something to be proud of. But we can reflect on it, learn from it, and come together and celebrate all that Australia is today. We’re all part of the story. Today we are one. And we are free. Let’s celebrate that. We have a lot to be grateful for. I for one, am proud to be an Australian.

24.01.2022 Its great to be able to host Liza Harvey in Bicton today. Were out and about chatting to locals and business leaders in Bicton!

24.01.2022 Yesterday I met with small business owner Leon, who along with his wife Sue, runs A1 Hi Performance in Myaree Since 1989, theyve been custom making engines for high performance vehicles. Theyve been through some difficult times over the years, but have fared well through the pandemic. I was blown away by Leons extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for what he does, and as a Maths teacher, it was a joy for me to see Mathematics in action in the design of bespoke motors.... Leon and Sue have worked hard over many years to grow their business from the ground. I love watching people make a living out of their passions!

24.01.2022 I really enjoyed chatting to Leah today at my Community Catch Up at Delicious Fingers in Melville Community Catch Ups are a great way for me to meet members of our community and hear about what matters most to them. Im always amazed by the stories people share with me - about managing their families, small businesses and commitments to local sporting clubs and organisations. ... Id love to see you at one of my Community Catch Ups soon!

23.01.2022 Celebrating the big 3-0 in style with my nearest and dearest!

22.01.2022 I am proud to be part of a dynamic State Liberal team that encourages and champions women. Today we celebrated all the fantastic females who are doing great work in their communities!

22.01.2022 Its important that our State Government supports good local projects, backs our small businesses and creates jobs. I joined East Fremantle Mayor Jim ONeill and CEO Gary Tuffin to update WA Liberal Leader Liza Harvey on upcoming projects in East Fremantle. I will work with the Town of East Fremantle and with Liza to make our community an even better place to live and work.

22.01.2022 Nothing better than a West Aussie barbecue down at Point Walter with Nicole Robins - Liberal for Bicton

21.01.2022 My community shaped who I am and I'm determined to fight for it. With your support, I'll be a strong local voice to get things done for Bicton.

21.01.2022 Happy International Women’s Day! A few people have asked me lately whether I really want to be going into politics as a woman. I have already been representing my community as a local councillor for more than 11 years. And at a time when there is so much happening across Australia and across the world, it is more important than ever that we have good women in positions of leadership. ... I have been working hard every day for nearly a year now. I will continue to fight on behalf of my community if I am fortunate enough to be elected as a local member of our State Parliament. I’m not afraid to ask the difficult questions and I will keep going when the going gets tough.

21.01.2022 Its Plastic Free July This week, I met Katie, owner and manager of the Localfoodiehub in Melville. Business has struggled due to the pandemic, but Federal Government support has allowed Local Foodie Hub to keep locals in jobs. Katie is passionate about wholefoods and reducing waste.... I showed my support for local business and for reducing waste this week by using glass jars and purchasing compostable toothbrushes! I encourage everyone to do the same

21.01.2022 I made the most of the sunshine over the weekend with some more door knocking I met Jeff and Nancy, who said Roe 8 & 9 must be built to reduce congestion on our roads and to create much needed jobs for WA. I couldnt agree more! A plan for 2032 just isnt going to cut it. Our local roads are unsafe now.... The Harvey Liberal Team are fully committed to accessing the $1.2 billion worth of Federal funding which is still available for the project and getting the Roe 8 & 9 built

21.01.2022 I want to hear about the issues that are important to our community. Thats why Im meeting with as many local residents, small business owners and community groups as I can. My Community Catch-ups are just one of the many important ways that I can hear from you. ... Im holding another Community Catch-up soon at Delicious Fingers in Melville. Please come by to catch up, enjoy a coffee and have your say. I look forward to seeing you there.

20.01.2022 Small and family businesses in Bicton are resilient! Kay and her husband Andrew have owned Bicton Veterinary Clinic since January and in that time have faced enormous challenges. They have risen to the occasion and overcome all the curveballs thrown their way, without any government support, and all whilst raising a family locally and staying healthy ... I take my hat off to Kay and Andrew who have kept going during this time, but not all businesses in Bicton are doing as well and I am fighting for more support for them to keep them in business and their employees in a job.

20.01.2022 I've been out and about door knocking residents in Fremantle this week Residents have been telling me about parking issues at Fremantle Netball due to the High Street Upgrade, which has reduced parking options for parents on a Saturday morning. If parking is an issue for you as a Netball Mum or as a resident of the area, let me know!

20.01.2022 As a high school teacher, I know just how important mental health funding is, especially for young people struggling to navigate the challenges of adolescence. We need to come together to take action and save lives in Western Australia. That’s why the Liberals are delivering $316 million to address the mental health funding shortfall. This shortfall is putting too many Western Australian lives at risk.... Most people wind up at hospital, pleading at Royal Perth, Fiona Stanley or Peel Health Campus for help. We need the services in place that are closer to home, so that more lives can be saved. The Liberals’ plan includes: $45.5m to map and fill the gaps in mental health prevention services, ensuring that people stop falling through the gaps and that they can get the help they need. $35m to fund a comprehensive state suicide prevention strategy, with specific youth and Aboriginal suicide prevention plans to save lives when people are struggling the most. $30m to expand personal recovery programs and community support options so that people can get back on their feet, without having to go to the hospital. This is all part of the Liberals plan to keep you safe from COVID, safe in your job and safe in your home.

20.01.2022 Myaree locals make sure to head to Marmion Reserve to check out the City of Melvilles recently completed playground renewal! Upgrading community infrastructure makes the Bicton area an even better place to live and raise a family

19.01.2022 Chrissy Lee is the founder of Heroes Academy in Myaree, an organisation which seeks to support primary aged school children from the community with diagnosed additional needs and their families. As a teacher and a Mum, I know just much of a difference this support for local families in our community will make for those who need it. Westfield Booragoon are providing three $10,000 grants to organisations doing great work in our community. If Chrissy is successful, Heroes Acade...my will use the funds to create a sensory room to better accommodate the needs of young heroes. Vote for Chrissy at http://bit.ly/LocalHeroes2020

19.01.2022 It was great catching up with Paul Hemsley, President of the East Fremantle Lawn Tennis Club to hear his thoughts on the Preston Point Road North Precinct Master Plan. I would love to hear the views of other clubs and local residents in the area, so I encourage you to get in touch More information can be found here https://www.eastfremantle.wa.gov.au//pprnrpm-update-meetin... Town of East Fremantle

19.01.2022 Many local residents have raised concerns at the conditions they experience at both Fremantle and Fiona Stanley Hospitals, including long wait times. According to the Australian Medical Association (WA), doctors don’t think WA’s health system would cope with a large COVID outbreak. The AMA sent each political party their checklist to fix WA’s health system, these were the results:... Labor don’t support the AMA’s checklist. The Liberals support every single item. With ambulance gridlock hitting crisis levels of 4111 hours in January alone, you can’t trust Labor with total control of health system or the Parliament. Read more about the AMA checklist https://www.amawa.com.au/checklist/

18.01.2022 11 years. That’s how long I’ve been serving my community as a City of Melville councillor. And it’s what has inspired me to put my hand up for state parliament. I love listening to locals, and working with them. Working to overcome their issues and working to progress their ideas. It’s my favourite part of the job. There are lots of meetings to attend and papers to read, but what I love the most is interacting with people in my community and doing what I can to support them.... If you’ve got an issue you’re facing locally, or have an idea to make our community better, please contact me. I’d love to hear from you.

18.01.2022 Three generations out doorknocking in East Freo! Very grateful for the support from family.

17.01.2022 $1.2B of Federal funding is still available for the construction of Roe 8 and 9. This project will create jobs, reduce congestion and make our roads safer. Thank you Ben Morton for continuing to fight for this critical project.

17.01.2022 Wonderful to meet Jenny out doorknocking! Like me, Jenny is an educator and is passionate about providing our young people with the best opportunities we can so that they can reach for the stars I just love meeting new people when I’m out and about. So if you see me, make sure you say hello!

14.01.2022 Thank you to the volunteers who came out this morning for some signwaving on Canning Highway! Lovely weather for it Signwaving was followed by letterboxing across the electorate! Look out for my flyer promoting our upcoming Community Safety Forum, arriving in your letterbox soon.

14.01.2022 WA Labor promise not delivered The McGowan Labor Government promised that there would be traffic wardens on Stirling Highway to help our kids cross the road for school by Term 3. But today, there was still no traffic warden in sight - only Main Roads attendants who were already there last term.... Forcing children to cross this section of road without traffic wardens is dangerous. You can still sign my petition to make our kids journey to school safer: https://www.petition.org.au/safekids/

14.01.2022 Another great afternoon out doorknocking, this time in the suburb of Bicton. Today I heard that locals are concerned about opportunistic crime in their otherwise quiet suburb, and that Roe 8 and 9 must be built Maybe Ill be knocking on your door next!

14.01.2022 Today's wild and woolly weather may have bested my umbrella but it was still a great afternoon door knocking residents in East Fremantle. Locals tell me that crime is a persistent issue in East Fremantle and more must be done. I'm committed to creating a safe environment for locals and reducing break-ins, vehicle theft and anti-social behaviour.

14.01.2022 Another successful Community Catch Up Ben Morton and I hosted a Community Catch Up at Blend Cafe & Pizza Bar today and we were joined by John, who stopped by to say hi and tell us what he loves about living in Bicton. I’m always available to listen to your ideas for our community and I will always do my best to help you resolve any issues you may be facing!

13.01.2022 Every Sunday morning, the Rotary Club of Melville put on the Melville Markets in the Melville Plaza carpark. Swap meets like this are a great way to recycle unwanted items and give them a new lease on life, whilst making a few dollars in the process! Congratulations to Melville Rotary for facilitating the markets, which have been enjoyed for many years by the community, and I’m sure will be enjoyed for many years to come.... My team and I visited to check things out and grab a few bargains!

13.01.2022 Todays wild and woolly weather may have bested my umbrella but it was still a great afternoon door knocking residents in East Fremantle. Locals tell me that crime is a persistent issue in East Fremantle and more must be done. Im committed to creating a safe environment for locals and reducing break-ins, vehicle theft and anti-social behaviour.

13.01.2022 With your local vote, I'll work with you to make our community an even better place to live, work, raise a family and retire. Here are my priorities: https://mailchi.mp/waliber/our-local-priorities-and-my-plan

12.01.2022 It was my privilege to address the statewide Liberals WA campaign launch this morning. I am very proud to be part of such a hard-working and dedicated team. And I am so proud of our leaders in Zak Kirkup and Libby Mettam. It is so important that we have a strong opposition who can hold the government to account. Vote Liberal locally to ensure important checks and balances in our WA Parliament.

12.01.2022 NATIONAL CHILD PROTECTION WEEK As my son Noah grows up, the online world is going to become increasingly complex for young people to navigate. This week, a video of someone committing suicide emerged on Tik Tok, an app popular among teenagers. ... It scares me that Noah is growing up in a world where this type of content is being pushed out to young people, without them going out of their way to search for it. No child should be exposed to horrifying content like this and platforms like TikTok need to put in more resources to detect and tear down this sort of harmful content. That is their responsibility. Our Federal Liberal Government introduced world-leading reforms including an eSafety Commissioner with the power to help keep Australian kids safe online. More than $100 million has been invested to help keep Australian kids safe online and to educate parents and teachers about what they can do to help. Our eSafety Commissioner has been engaging closely with TikTok to demand the video is removed.

12.01.2022 Let's keep supporting our local small and family businesses to help them survive and create more local jobs. Small businesses just like Guru Spices Indian Cuisine in Attadale. Harish has worked hard to build his business from the ground up. It's thanks to your support that Harish can keep trading after COVID-19 and keep locals in a job.

12.01.2022 Zak Kirkup MP stopped by Palmyra pre-poll today - our busiest day yet at the early voting centre! If you want to get your vote done early, stop by 307 Stock Road, Palmyra (next to Total Tools) tomorrow or Friday!

12.01.2022 Enjoying the early mornings saying hello to locals on Canning Highway as they drive to work Thanks to our hardworking volunteers sacrificing their sleep ins to help out!

11.01.2022 Over the weekend, I was out with my team in Bicton knocking on doors and meeting locals. I had the pleasure of meeting Shirley who has recently returned from enjoying the warmer weather up in Broome I want to represent people like Shirley in our state parliament so I can work for more local jobs and to get Roe 8 and 9 built.

11.01.2022 Another successful Community Catch Up today - this time at Hubbles Yard Cafe in East Fremantle! Im always keen to hear from you My favourite part of being a local government councillor for 11 years has been meeting with local residents to hear about what matters most to them, and if I can, help them resolve the issues theyre facing in their daily lives.... We live in a beautiful part of the world here in Bicton, but we still face challenges and obstacles, so if youre dealing with something in your local area, please get in touch and Id love to try to help you!

11.01.2022 Vote Liberal Locally Vote Nicole Robins I'm working hard every single day to make our community better.... As a local teacher, councillor, volunteer and mum, I have the lived experience to represent you in State Parliament. Support our community by supporting me this Saturday.

10.01.2022 I am so proud of the WA Liberals’ commitment to support our local schools. Over the last 8 years in my role as a high school teacher, I have come across many students who require the services of a psychologist or the support of a school chaplain. School psychologists and chaplains provide someone for vulnerable young people to turn to for help in times of need.... All students deserve to have the support they need, when they need it. That’s why the Liberals are advocating for additional funding for school psychologists and for a school chaplain for every school who wants one.

10.01.2022 My gas heater recently stopped working, so I contacted Shaun from Melville Plumbing & Gas to come and check it out! I highly recommend this business for their knowledge and professionalism. During this time, its important that we all support small and family businesses so we can keep people within our communities in jobs.... As Im out in about in our community, people continue to raise jobs with me as their number one issue, so I encourage you to #golocalfirst when shopping or getting a job done! Check out golocalfirst.com.au for more info!

08.01.2022 Sign the petition for more State Government support for Small and Family Businesses: http://petition.org.au/support-wa-business The McGowan State Labor Government is the only state government in Australia that does not have a Small Business Grant program of up to $10,000 to help struggling small and family businesses impacted by COVID-19.... David and Liam, owners of Blossum Catering and Sweet Dream Foods in Bicton would absolutely benefit from a Small Business Grant, to support them and their employees. Sign this petition to show your support for WA businesses like David and Liams and demand more assistance for them and their local employees!

08.01.2022 Melville locals have been telling me that traffic on local roads is an issue and that we need Roe 8 and 9 built now. Roe 8 & 9 will reduce traffic on local roads and take the trucks off Leach Highway and is shovel ready. If I am elected, I will fight for Roe 8 & 9 and an immediate solution to traffic on local roads.

07.01.2022 Mihael McCoy - Liberal for Jandakot and I were back on the phones speaking to locals this week. Feedback from our community is clear. The McGowan Labor State Government needs to be doing more to support small businesses and to create more local jobs. You dont have to wait for me to call you! You can call me at any time with any issue or question on 0487 697 998. ... Id love to hear from you!

07.01.2022 David is a Bicton local who owns and runs his own business, The Lupin Co. David and I met with Dr Steve Thomas, MLC, Shadow Minister for Food and Agriculture, at Parliament House to discuss some of the challenges facing the industry and to see what support is available so that David can continue to grow his business. Like many Bicton families, David is working hard to get ahead and to employ more Western Australians.

07.01.2022 Had a special visitor on pre-poll today! I want Noah to grow up in the best Western Australia possible. That’s why I’m running to represent you in our State Parliament. And that’s why we must ensure we have a strong opposition. To hold the government to account. To make sure that when they go too far or get it wrong, we can call them out on it.... Vote Liberal locally to stop Labor’s total control.

07.01.2022 Liberals WA leader Zak Kirkup MP knows how important the East Fremantle Oval Redevelopment is to locals in East Fremantle. That's why the Liberals commited $20 million to this important project last year. Thanks Zak for coming out with me today to speak to more East Fremantle locals about this important project.

06.01.2022 The little wins are often the most special. The residents of Antrim Lane in Fremantle have been trying for years to get street lighting and have even petitioned the City of Fremantle in an effort to make it happen. Their lane is exceptionally dark, and as a result, residents have had their cars broken into, their walls have been vandalised with graffiti, and motorists have felt unsafe navigating the lane when driving after sunset.... People should be able to feel safe in their own homes. Yesterday I invited Daniel from the City of Fremantle to meet with a number of concerned residents on site to discuss the problem and see if we could identify a solution. I am delighted to report that it was a very positive meeting, with the City of Fremantle now working to install a number of solar bollards to illuminate the lane. This was welcomed by those who attended the meeting, with Yvonne telling me that she felt that they had previously been fobbed off and told that there was no money in the budget. She was very happy with the result of the meeting. Kicking goals for my community is what I really enjoy. Its driven me in my role as a City of Melville Councillor and its what is motivating me through my campaign to represent you in Bicton.

06.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who has already caught up with me at my Community Catch-Ups. I am working hard to be as accessible and available as possible. Im holding another Community Catch-up soon at The Neighbourhood Coffee and Kitchen in Attadale. Check out the details below.... Please come by to catch up, enjoy a coffee and have your say. I look forward to seeing you there!

06.01.2022 FREO NETBALL NEEDS PARKING FIX Fremantle Netball Mum Rachel is one of many parents that are struggling to park or even drop off their children on a Saturday morning. Labors High Street Upgrade has made a bad problem worse, with reduced parking around the Fremantle Netball Association grounds. Ive written to Mayor Brad Pettitt asking for a solution to parking in the area that helps parents and does not force cars to park on residents verges. ... I will continue to fight for real traffic solutions in Fremantle.

06.01.2022 Thanks to Mark Stewart, President of the East Fremantle Football Club for having me at the last game of the season at Shark Park today. The boys put up a good fight, but unfortunately we went down to the Swan Districts by five goals. Congratulations to captain Jonathon Griffin, who after 103 WAFL games has decided to hang up the boots.

06.01.2022 Lets keep supporting our local small and family businesses to help them survive and create more local jobs. Small businesses just like Guru Spices Indian Cuisine in Attadale. Harish has worked hard to build his business from the ground up. Its thanks to your support that Harish can keep trading after COVID-19 and keep locals in a job.

05.01.2022 Thank you Mihael McCoy - Liberal for Jandakot for coming out today and knocking on some doors with me in Palmyra. Fantastic to also be joined by volunteers Sean and Nick. Team work makes the dream work! As a Palmyra resident myself, I understand some of the issues that were raised today - congestion on Leach Highway, opportunistic crime and traffic on Marmion Street. Thanks to all the residents who took time out of their day to have a chat with us. And for those who werent home, sorry I missed you! Please get in touch if theres anything youd like to raise with me.

I have worked very hard over the last 12 months because I'm passionate about our community.... I have the experience, the energy and the passion to represent you in State Parliament - and I can prove it. I've knocked on thousands of doors over the last 12 months. You've seen me out on the road waving my signs with my volunteers every morning on your way to work. I've held forums in our community, consulted widely and I've presented a fantastic plan for our community. I’ll stand up for you and your family, your job and your values.

05.01.2022 Ive been out and about door knocking residents in Fremantle this week Residents have been telling me about parking issues at Fremantle Netball due to the High Street Upgrade, which has reduced parking options for parents on a Saturday morning. If parking is an issue for you as a Netball Mum or as a resident of the area, let me know!

05.01.2022 It's Election Day! It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life working as your Local Liberal over the past year. It wasn't a hard decision to put my hand up. I love this community and meeting so many locals has been the highlight.... And I can easily say that I've never had a greater appreciation for just how lucky we are in Bicton. 03.01.2022 Liza Harvey has announced a major election policy that will fix Labor's bungled local jobs law and create more opportunities for WA small and family-run businesses, helping the WA economy bounce back quicker and stronger. Under the Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee, "local" will mean local, ensuring WA small and family-run businesses are given preferential treatment and the opportunities to create more jobs here in WA. Labor's bungled local jobs law defines local businesses as "s...uppliers of goods produced, or services provided, in Western Australia, another State, a Territory or New Zealand". Recently, this has meant $9 million worth of small business contracts that could have been done by WA businesses and workers were awarded to eastern state companies. The Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee ensures local means local, keeping local jobs and profits here in WA for a quicker and stronger economic recovery.

03.01.2022 Community Catch Up in Myaree DATE: Tuesday 1 December 2020 TIME: 9am - 10am PLACE: Grouch & Co, Unit 1/45 McCoy Street, Myaree... 03.01.2022 Today we remember those who have served and continue to serve our Nation in order for us to enjoy the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. We remember all Australians, men and women, young and old, who have died or suffered in wars or conflicts. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

03.01.2022 Lovely afternoon knocking on doors in beautiful Melville. Locals raised concerns about speeding, urban infill and safety around schools. If I still haven’t knocked on your door, I’m coming! Hope to see you soon.

I have been working hard over the last year to meet as many people in my community as possible. I love my community, and I will always work for you.... I vow that I will always be available and accessible and will always do my best to assist you, should I be elected this weekend. This truck is just another reminder that this Saturday, you’re not voting for a Premier, you’re voting for who you’d like to represent you locally.
