24.01.2022 Ash was in today to have his thyroid gland removed, and coped beautifully. He’s home to recover and should be off his tablets for good! Surgery is an option for overactive thyroid if giving tablets is difficult or doesn’t work well enough. Speedy recovery and see you soon Ash!
23.01.2022 Our reception staff Charlie and Ross. Ready to book your appointments on 9379 8913, now that our phone lines are finally back online. Thanks all for your patience we’re hoping this will be it now!!
23.01.2022 Update on the clinic- we have had power diverted so are back online. We are open until 3pm but the road has been closed to traffic whilst they replace the pole outside. You are able to reach us on foot if you park further up the road, but if you’d rather postpone your appointment please call on 93798913. Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience
23.01.2022 Dear clients, there has been some concern regarding the supply of medicines due to the worldwide Coronavirus problem. Currently there is no issue with supply but in line with the general government advice we recommend considering buying a little extra next time if your pet is on chronic medication to avoid potential future gaps in supply.
23.01.2022 COVID UPDATE: We hope everyone is staying happy and healthy during this time. We are doing everything we can to keep our staff and clients safe whilst still providing our animals with veterinary care. During the lockdown period we will not be booking in adult vaccinations/checkups. If your pet is due please contact us at the end of lockdown.... We are kindly asking everyone to remain in your car and send us a text message when you are in the car park. We will come and get you when it is your turn. We greatly appreciate everyone’s cooperation
22.01.2022 It was a Puppy Palooza today at Niddrie Vet Clinic! Dr. Eva was absolutely in love with her 12 little patients who were so well behaved for their vaccinations and microchipping They are now ready to find their forever homes We hope to see their sweet faces again soon
20.01.2022 We’re so happy that Tilly and Timmy have had a clean bill of health after visiting our clinic on Tuesday. When travelling down those quiet country roads at night, it is important to slow down for any potential nocturnals wondering around. Thank you to everyone at Five Freedoms Animal Rescue for all your constant efforts to protect our beloved wildlife!
20.01.2022 Attention everyone!!! Due to a damaged power pole out the front, for safety reasons, the police are closing the road to cars and pedestrians. This obviously results in us having to close and leave. Due to having no power we are unable to retrieve clients phone numbers and contact you. We are so sorry for the inconvenience
19.01.2022 Talk about puppy dog eyes
13.01.2022 Dear clients, We have a large number of clients that are in the high risk category for Coronavirus and we are committed to look after them as much as our patients. Due to recent events we have begun minimising the risk to you by asking everyone to wait in theirs cars for their appointment. ... If you are showing any symptoms of cold/flu/cough we ask you to refrain from coming in at all and send a family member or friend on your behalf. We ask that if you are picking up medications or food please call the clinic from your car, we can deliver them and process payments in the car park. Where possible please bring minimal humans with your pet to reduce numbers in the clinic at one time. At this stage we are still conducting face to face consultations but with the rapidly changing situation this may change. We ask that you follow these instructions to help reduce the impact of the pandemic on everyone and thank you for your patience and understanding.
12.01.2022 ATTENTION CLIENTS: The clinic will be closed over the Easter long weekend (Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th and Monday 5th). We will reopen on Tuesday the 6th. 09.01.2022 A star patient and Niddrie vets reduced hours- 5pm closure. As of next week we are reducing our hours as a result of COVID19, and are moving towards urgent business only. We are still on the phone for advice so please don’t hesitate to call on 93798913. We are exploring telemedicine options in case further restrictions arise. In the meantime please remain in your car when arriving at the clinic. The clinic will be open until 5pm weekdays rather than 7 (weekend hours unchanged) and is operating on a smaller team, we thanks you in advance for your patience. And to make you smile- Ruby was in today for her bandage change, hot red shoes to match Jacqui’s uniform!
