25.01.2022 Today we celebrated our ESM, Traceys birthday. There were balloons, a special morning tea & beautiful bracelet made by one of the children. Happy birthday Tracey, we hope you enjoyed your special day!

23.01.2022 Meet the Educators.... Hi my name is Sachiko and I am an Educator in the Toddler room here at Nido Somerton Park. I am deaf and Japanese. I grew up in Japan and moved to Adelaide in 2004. I have 2 children and use Auslan to communicate. I have a certificate 3 in Children's Services. I have been working in childcare for 10 years. I am looking forward to working here at Nido Early School and getting to know you all.

12.01.2022 Katie Francis one of our dedicated educators is a volunteer CFS firefighter & is heading to Kangaroo Island tomorrow morning to support the firefighting effort. We wish her well and hope she stays safe during this very trying time.

09.01.2022 Hi everyone! My name is Keely! I am the Early Childhood Teacher at Somerton Park. I have over 5 years’ experience working within childcare and preschool. I also come from a ridiculously large family where I am 1 of 11 children so I can handle anything! I am passionate about working with the early years, I love being able to see children learn about the world that they live in and that they will one day be making the world a better place. I am so looking forward to being a part of the Nido family and getting to know everyone!

04.01.2022 Meet our Educators.... Hi my name is Cynthia and I am an Educator in the Kinder room here at Nido Somerton Park. I come from China and speak Mandarin. I have been in Australia since 2012. Now I live in Flagstaff Hill with my partner Alex. We have 2 fur babies, a cat Oreo and a dog Charlie. I completed my Masters of Early Childhood Teaching in 2017 and have previously worked in Reggio inspired childcare. I look forward to meeting you all.

04.01.2022 Meet our Service Administrator..... Hi my name is Olivia, or Liv. I am the service Administrator here at Nido Somerton Park. I come to Nido with 10 years experience working in childcare administration. The things I enjoy most about this role is watching all of the children play and grow, and also helping families make childcare a fun and positive part of their lives. I have 2 children of my own, 2 girls, aged 14 & 8. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach with my family and hosting afternoon tea parties with friends. I pride myself on being approachable and look forward to meeting you all at the centre.

The children sang Nina Marni Welcome around the campfire whilst eating warm damper. Leigh & Tracey wore shirts from Bundarra. Other activities around the service included finger painting in Nursery, natural resources for painting in Toddler 1 and Kinder designed their own flags. The children and educators acknowledged this important day on the cultural calendar.

04.01.2022 Were extending our care to siblings of children enrolled at our service during this difficult time. Vacation care will be open to primary school aged siblings under 13, as a small way to help our educators and our families, allowing you to work, look for work and manage your lives. Fees will be set at only $80 for a 10-hour session, with no late fees if 30 minutes early or late on drop off or pickup.... Limited places available, to register please contact your Service Manager.

Hi my name is Alex and I am an Educator in the Toddler Room here at Nido Somerton Park I worked in chidcare for 5 years while I was living in Cairns before moving back to Adelaide and continuing in the industry. I have my Certificate 3 and Diploma in Children's Services. I don't have any children, but I do have a pet rabbit that is very spoilt ! I look forward to getting to know you and your children.
