24.01.2022 Welcome to the new Conceptual Playspace in the Kinder room where children use play to problem solve, collaborate and build relationships. ‘Hairy Nose, Itchy Butt’ is our current book of choice.

22.01.2022 In the Nursery we have continued our journey towards reconciliation to recognise the traditional custodians of the land. Children have been involved in collaborative pieces that represent indigenous culture. It has also been wonderful to see the growth in this area as well as our children now recognise when it is time to acknowledge country by gathering to sing songs and share our actions that go along with our acknowledgment of country.

18.01.2022 Today the Kinder children headed outside to extended on a common interest; ramps. All week children have been experimenting with ramps and testing their success. To build on their interest and skills, we decided to create a challenge that made the most of the weather conditions. Build a ramp that catches water. Some of us made traditional ramps, some of us used some different methods with very mixed success! Our ramps are staying out overnight so we can measure our success tomorrow! Stay tuned!

17.01.2022 Do any of our families feel like this? Lol.

16.01.2022 Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians as individuals, families, communities, organisations and importantly as a nation. At the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, collectively building relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures. A we...ek to acknowledge Australia's shared histories, cultures, and achievements. . . Reference - www.reconciliation.org.au #Allaustralians #Reconciliationweek2021 #NRW2021 #TogetherWeAchieveMore

15.01.2022 In the Toddler room we have furthered our journey towards Reconciliation by taking a look at how to recognise the traditional custodians of the land. The children have been using Yarn Time to learn about Aboriginal culture by singing songs, reading stories and learning about the region in which we live as told by Byron Powell - There are Four A's in Ballarat. https://iview.abc.net.au/video/RA1908H001S00

15.01.2022 The Kinder's have been extremely busy lately, learning about healthy foods that help fuel our bodies and what makes us to grow big & strong! The children were able to extend on our healthy food and sometimes food sorting experience that took place last week by putting our creative caps on and drawing our favourite things to eat. It was lovely to see that as a group we were able to draw mostly healthy foods - Fruits and veggies were the big hit. ... After we finished our master pieces we were able to discuss and sort our food drawings into the appropriate food groups - Healthy foods and sometimes foods. Here is what some of the Kinder children had to share about their drawings throughout the experience. "Strawberries grow on trees" "Tomatoes, they aren't a sometimes food" "Watermelon... Hmmm it's a fruit" "Eggs, they are healthy" "Veggies are corn, carrots and peas" "Chocolate... That's a sometimes food" Throughout the rest of the week, we will continue to look further into healthy eating and even have the opportunity to make and taste our own orange juice!

12.01.2022 This week in the Toddler room we created a yarn time expressive collaborative piece, for the children to sit around and sing songs together such as Taba Naba and Inanay. The children enjoyed painting our centerpiece with traditional indigenous colours while participating in these experiences to visually record their understandings and feelings.

09.01.2022 Together our Nursery children worked together as a group to experience parachute play. The children navigated the space allowing room for all their friends as we practiced some descriptive words, up, down. The children were full of laughter as the fabric draped over them.

09.01.2022 Don't forget to confirm your income through Centrelink, or your CCS maybe cancelled.

01.01.2022 Today our curious learners continued their desire to discover more about colours through the skill of theorising. First, we began a conversation about what the children already knew about colours and connected this to our AUSLAN signs for all the colours of the rainbow. Then a question was posed what would happen to a colour if they mixed?. We had some wonderful answers and theories which we then together put to the test with an experiment. The children helped to add two reactive ingredients which was bi-carb and vinegar. First the two colours went down and we discussed what might happen. Now the exciting part, adding the vinegar to watch the two colours mix. I wonder what colours you can see?
