19.01.2022 Good morning We are ready to welcome our beautiful mum's in for our COVID-SAFE take away breakfast. Chef Luca has prepared a delicious and healthy breakfast of yoghurt, berry compot, crumble and fresh fruit for you to enjoy with a cup of take away nespresso. Drop in on your way to work, school drop off or when you're children arrive for the day to fuel your body for the day ahead being a fantastic mummy HAPPY MOTHERS DAY from the -Nido Bassendean Team

16.01.2022 Did you know that 1 in 5 children don't have enough nappies to stay clean, happy and healthy? For the next two weeks we have partnered with The Nappy Collective to collect unused disposable nappies to donate to families in crisis. We ask for our families and wider community to please clear out their cupboards and drop in their unwanted loose or packaged nappies provided they are unused. You can find us at 72 Railway Parade, Bassendean. We thank-you in advance for your support.

14.01.2022 Celebrating meaningful events in children's lives is a very special moment. We believe in treating all children equally and celebrate each child's birthday in the same way at Nido Bassendean. A talented family member of an educator quilted this beautiful blanket from our specially created Nido indigenous print. Sarah our curriculum leader has worked hard on learning how to sing happy birthday in noongar along with happy birthday in English we sing this to the children to celebrate their special day in a respectful way. This little lady loved her special moment turning 1 this week we loved celebrating together.

13.01.2022 And off they go. Our little learners are off an excursion this morning. We have carefully planned a few ongoing excursion routes of our local community to get out and about when ever we can. The children will spend time getting to know the local area and seeing the wonders outside of our doors.

12.01.2022 Today we held a parents first aid course for our family's run by an external company. Many of our families felt they were in need of some additional skills surrounding children's first aid which led us to running the course here for them on a Saturday. We always want to support our families needs at Nido and we look forward to holding more courses and information nights in the future

11.01.2022 Teaching our children about the custodians of the land that we are fortunate to inhabit. We try to embed respect where we can for the children to grow up understanding the indigenous people of Australia. We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of this land and pay our respects to the elders both past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hope of their people.
