23.01.2022 Hospital Corner! Pre-Kinder have a Hospital Corner after showing interest in doctors and patients through dramatic play All of the children are enjoying investigating the different elements on offer as they pretended to be patients, or doctors and nurses using the toy medical kits to make their friends better. The children have shown great ability in being able to take turns and share the equipment, and the dramatic play environment is encouraging language development... as they act out being in a hospital together. EYLF OUTCOMES 1.1.11 Explore aspects of identity through role play. 2.1.2 Cooperate with others and negotiate roles and relationships in play episodes and group experiences.

He will be moving around the centre to keep us on our toes. We would love to see the children looking for him as you’re walking through the centre and creating a sense of joy and wonderment. The children will also be looking for him when walking to the Piazza and within the rooms.... Team Craigie

03.01.2022 Look what we have created here at Craigie. We are asking for your help so we can improve on our practices. Please take the time to place a pebble in the jar or write a little note and place it in the basket for us to learn and grow from.

02.01.2022 Good morning Nido Craigie Families and Friends. My name is Samantha Robertson and I am the new full time Curriculum Leader for Craigie Nido. I have met many of you over my first few weeks but I thought I would take the time to formally introduce myself. A little bit about myself; I am an Early Childhood Teacher who trained at Edith Cowan University and I also have begun my training to be a Kodály music education trained. I also attended WAAPA for Classical Voice so my love ...of music and engaging children in a love of music and movement. I have been an ECT in long day care as well as casually in long day care. My role at Craigie is to support the educators in planning and implementing learning experiences for the children that are child driven and engaging. I would also love some input as to how we could incorporate family’s opinions and observations into the centre to help us grow as a community. If you see me on the floor or in the office please feel free to come and say hello or if you have any questions about the curriculum or planning cycle I will be available to answer those questions.

01.01.2022 ANZAC DAY Lest we forget

01.01.2022 We at Nido Craigie would like to pay our respects to Whadjuk Noongar People who are the traditional owners of the land on which we learn, play and grown. We have been reflecting on our practices and have created a Reconciliation Action Plan and Vision in order to authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, practices, history and culture into our environment and curriculum. Our aim is to provide the children in our community with the knowledge and respect for the First Nation People to help create a better future.
