11.01.2022 Our baby chicks have arrived with a lot of excitement from the children and educators! All children within the service will be able to have the opportunity over the next 2 weeks to see the chicks hatch and help feed and look after them, opening up many opportunities for discussions and learning.

11.01.2022 We are so excited to be opening our doors on Monday for the new room transitions. The educators have worked extremely hard today to create inviting and calming spaces for the children.

10.01.2022 Dear Families, We heard and we've listened! Always finding yourself in a rush, don't have time to get a coffee, well now you can drop your child off AND get you're coffee! Our coffee machine also does hot chocolates for those cold weather cravings! This will be fully ready to use with our recycled cups tomorrow!

10.01.2022 Within the rooms at Joseph Avenue we strive to ensure that children's clothing gets placed away in their bags to minimise clothes going astray, however sometimes there are the odd occasions where we are unsure who's clothing belongs to who. To make it a bit easier to return to the correct owners we have now made an area within the service where these items are placed.

10.01.2022 Good Afternoon Families, As you may remember we hosted a ladies night a few weeks back we held our first ladies night. Our aim through our raffles was to be able to get the service 5 diffusers. I am very excited to let you all know that through your generous donations and raffle purchases we were able to get 5 diffusers and 5 essential oils for the service. The diffusers are for aromatherapy, humidifier, air purifier to remove allergens and germs and also an ioniser to promote health, vitality and wellbeing. I would like to thank everyone for their kind donations and look forward to the next event that the service will be hosting.

If you would like to add your note of thanks please feel free with a writing station set up for all our families at the front desk. Educator appreciation day is also just around the corner so you can also add a note of thanks for the educators who have assisted your child learn, grow and explore. For our families who are not currently attending you can email your note of thanks to us and we can print this off for you.

09.01.2022 Dear Families, Cancer is not something that people cause themselves. Most of the time we don’t know what causes it, but we at Nido Moorabbin Airport are passionate to support the Cancer Council and fight for a cause that helps support everybody's loved ones. We will be holding a morning tea on the 27th May 2021 from 7:30 am till 9:30 am in the foyer all families are welcome and as our goal is to raise $100 any donation is welcome and appreciated as we at Nido are one family.

At Joseph Avenue we ensure that our programs are prepared and based on each individual child’s needs and development. Never comparing children to one another because their turn to pop will come with the patience and guidance of our educators and the strong respectful relationships we have with our families.

06.01.2022 Join us on July 17th in your pyjamas to support children in foster care. Every child is equal and every child should have the same learning opportunities and sense of belonging. We are aiming to raise $150 which will help provide 2 training kits for 2 volunteer mentor Pyjama Angels and also provide new books, learning activities and games for the Pyjama Angel resource centre.

You may have noticed a few changes within the centre this week, we have moved our quality improvement plan and would love to hear what you would like to see improve within the centre and/or what you believe we are doing well within the centre, we would also love to hear what your child enjoys about coming to the centre, you will find these feedback cards on our quality improvement wall and we will be adding this to our mind map to constantly improve as a team. We have also got a few questions which will get changed fortnightly to see what you're family love to do together to bring this into our programs and discussions. 05.01.2022 We’re extending our care to siblings of children enrolled at our service during this difficult time. Vacation care will be open to primary school aged siblings under 13, as a small way to help our educators and our families, allowing you to work, look for work and manage your lives. Fees will be set at only $80 for a 10-hour session, with no late fees if 30 minutes early or late on drop off or pickup.... Limited places available, to register please contact your Service Manager.
