24.01.2022 One of our clients properties at Flinders in which we have installed a grove of Tahitian Limes (freestanding on dwarf Trifoliata rootstock) and Eureka Lemons on a Tatura Espalier system. Both groves are thriving and we will soon be selling this lovely fruit wholesale.

22.01.2022 The before and after prune of an apple last Friday. Laterals are thinned and reduced to 30cm, dead wood removed, crossing branches pruned, centre wood removed for air flow. We make light work of these trees with the knowledge and equipment to get the job done professionally and efficiently.

17.01.2022 Dear friends, I have been getting a lot of requests to help with setting up vegetable gardens in light of self sufficiency and corona virus. Let’s face it, if you’re going to be isolated and with the potential of kids staying home for weeks on end then now is the perfect time. Here is a list that i have prepared for a few friends of what to grow now. Feel free to copy and share. ... Potatoes best above ground in pot or grow bags at this time of year. They will only be small spuds but better than nothing at all. Try to get locally grown. Best to have certified seed but these won’t be ready for another month or 2, but planting in pots will allow you to isolate any disease issues. Garlic, from any source. The big purple types ideal in our climate know as hard stems. Make sure they’re Australian if from supermarket. Diggers has some good ones that i selected whilst I was manager in the current catalogue. Carrots, parsnip and beetroot but need to get in now to mature before winter. Lettuce, chervil. All herbs apart from basil. Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower Onions, spring onions. All types. Peas all types. Try some dwarf and climbing. Broad beans, but these will get big before fruiting. New tip shoots make an excellent green and will help control height until spring fruiting. Silver beet and spinach. The quickest and easiest setup are large pots or grow bags. Use and good quality potting mix (organic compost) and blend through blood and bone or composted manure. Try to avoid sandy garden blended soils as these have weeds and tend to dry out easily. Good luck. Feel free to pm Mike or Camilla for any professional setups. We have a great team and expert advise to enable a quick turnaround of less than 2-5 days to be growing all your own vegetable needs.

17.01.2022 Magnolia Vulcan, very happy after been planted 2 years ago. Also Scarlet smelling our early daffodils.

16.01.2022 Excited to be part of the workshop program at Torello Farm.

15.01.2022 It’s been a big month of pruning. Check out this orchard rework. 30 plus trees that hadn’t been pruned for 10 years. We could feel a deep sigh of relief from the trees as sunlight could finally reach their lichen covered buds.

15.01.2022 One of our projects. Planned to be for sale in 12 months to 2 years. 30 year old trees. Watch this space!! Enquiries welcome
