19.01.2022 Well after my comments last nights, Im on a roll . Let me put this one out there , regarding the new flood plain harvesting ( rules . I will be paying fees even if I have no allocation. We have received very little inflow for the last 2 years , and people must keep in mind, the environmental water allocation is filled first, and as such is used first so allocation is filled first before any commercial user has any increment on their allocation. Additional to this is the re...al reason for this rant. The new proposed flood plain harvesting right. In a nutshell the plan means: if I irrigate my field today and tonight we get 50mm of rain and all the rainfall runoff on my farm paddocks run down to my farm dam ( currently this will activate my flood plain harvesting rights in form of a License ) . It will be then subtracted from my flood plain harvesting allocation. But if at the same time my neighbour received the same rain and not yet irrigated as scheduled, and also has no runoff they can put their allocation water away that they didnt use but would of used in the next few days if no rainfall. So as such puts that allocation in their farm dam for the next irrigation without deduction or payment ? but I pay twice from allocation and from the rain. This is crippling and unfair. This in my belief, is only the beginning of the Department of water progressing to all land users including and eventually all rainfall being taxed on Broadacre, even grazing country. I do wish that all city rainfall is measured and taxed as well! My comments are over simplified for general viewing, and to open for discussion. However it must be stated that the reductions in NSW are far greater than any reductions much further South and South West of NSW. My family has been part of a community, our home, the country is part of our blood, we lived in this area for over 5 generations, over 160 years. We love and are proud of where live and grow and call home. The flood plain harvesting plan will destroy communities and our futures, and as a side note all northern basins have had zero inflows for 2 years and the irrigators on the NSW part of the Murray have had maybe 50% allocation . But just over the border with 100% allocation on the same river and source. See more

02.01.2022 Just watched 4 corners . Another stitch up job on the agricultural industry , this Is becoming a common theme with this programme . Last time I looked most things in modern living course cancer , alcohol , preservatives , sun light , not enough sunlight , meat , and the list goes on . I think the product round up may be the least of our worries as far as cancer goes . Ive had over 40 years exposure to high rates of this product and so far not a , and I have many contemporarys in the spray contracting business who have day in day out exposure , and not one has ever has an illness that could in anyway be attributed to the heavy exposure to glyphosate . So seems to me that once again the ABC is a purveyor of misinformation
