We might be a bit late, but we think these couple of exercises are gold - particularly if you experience tension headaches or neck and / or mid-back pain. 22.01.2022 Are we still #open? At this stage, yes. At least were definitely here today. However, please keep an eye on this space for updates. Unfortunately the PMs address and media statement offered little clarity for our remedial massage industry - are we part of the "spas and massage parlors" that must close down, or are we part of the excluded "massage - health related" and allied health services that are able to continue?... On one hand, we want to look after everyones health, and thus if the government has determined it is best for us to shut down to do so, we will of course comply. But on the other, the PM is clear that anyone who can continue to work should, for the good of the economy. So were stuck in a catch22 right now... we know we are as safe to attend as physios and chiros (who are allowed to remain open) as we are just as meticulous with hygiene however we dont want to unknowingly not comply with government requirements right now, and we do want to do the best for our community. Weve been working hard all day to seek further clarification, and well be making a call re tomorrow onward this afternoon / evening. If you currently have a booking for Thursday onward, please rest assured, we will touch base with you later today to confirm our final decision. 21.01.2022 You heard it here first... thanks to a QLD health update, remedial massage therapists are now allowed to offer health related treatments for disease and to prevent injury / conditions... SO we will be back open and offering remedial massage and myotherapy treatments very soon! Were just in the process of confirming therapist return dates and hours, then well be calling regular clients to offer them appointments first before we open up our online booking service again in the next day or so... We are so happy to be able to offer much needed treatment to our loyal local clients - and of course we will continue to apply our meticulous hygiene practices so you can rest assured our treatment space is safe ... so if you are in need of a treatment, keep your eyes peeled, watch this space!

OK so this is one of the last face masks in Brissie (not on a doctors, nurses or dentists face), so we wont be wearing face masks for your treatments, but you can rest assured we will have meticulously clean hands, massage tables, clean linen and all our clinic surfaces are cleaned thoroughly and regularly - as always. And yes, other than this photo, we are even practicing social distancing - virtual hugs were given from across the room before Merryn headed off. (yes, it is a serious situation but at least we can still have some fun )

01.01.2022 COVID-19 update - we are temporarily closed: Last night I was finally able to confirm unequivocably that as remedial massage therapists and myotherapists, we are not registered under the Health Provider Regulation National Law and therefore according to the QLD health directive we must continue to remain closed. This is a bittersweet moment - bitter because we know that some of you are in pain, anxious and stressed and could benefit greatly from a good massage. Sweet because ...I know that despite this, we made the right choice to close to protect you, your families and everyone you will be in contact with - and our own team too. This disease doesnt discriminate and it is very virulent. Please look after yourselves, stay home as much as you can - we want to see your smiling faces in our clinic when we are able to reopen! We dont know when that will be, but well be here as soon as remedial massage & myotherapists are allowed to practice again in queensland. In the meantime, keep an eye here and on our website, as we will post a list of physios, chiros and acupuncturists who can help if you are in pain and need an urgent treatment (they are all allowed to remain open for now as they are registered practitioners). And if you arent in urgent need, we encourage you to keep up your exercise, stretches and movement at home so you stay mobile and pain-free through the lockdown. Well hopefully be starting to post some self-care videos with stretching, self-massage and tips and tricks for you soon.
