23.01.2022 In the current environment, we thought it would help competitors understand what our plans are for our upcoming event. Here are the steps and measures we have in place, and can implement if need be on 17th October. We are fully committed to running this event in a safe, supportive and professional manner. 1. Venue. The venue we are using is OPEN AIR. This venue literally has no walls or doors, it is a dome (roof only). 2. The space can accommodate over 300 people abiding by ...the 1.5m rule. The current government restriction is 150 people, therefore 150 can attend the event, this total will include competitors, judges, officials, volunteers, staff and spectators. 3. The event can be further broken down into sessions, allowing for all competitors, friends and family to attend. 4. The event is being held in a regional area of NSW. We felt this was the safest option for all involved with Newcastle and the Hunter area maintaining very low Covid case numbers. 5. ALL attendees OTHER THAN ATHLETES may be required to wear a mask. A firm decision on this will be made closer to the event and will be based on the most up to date information available at the time. 6. Seating will be spaced out to abide by covid safe regulations. 7. Hand sanitiser will be provided throughout the venue. 8. Spectator numbers MAY be capped even further. If this is required, due to government restrictions, spectator tickets will be equally shared between competitors first. 9. If spectators are not allowed to attend the event due to government restrictions, we are set up to LIVE STREAM the event, allowing all of your loved ones to still support you from home. We wanted to make it VERY CLEAR, that the ONLY reason we have decided to go ahead with this event is due to the feedback and support we have received from both competitors and coaches within the community. The feedback we are receiving is that a competition prep is a positive outlet in a very uncertain time, and I personally agree 100%. We are very excited to use this brand new venue. The lighting and sound that has been installed is state of the art, and incredibly expensive. The staff behind the venue are doing everything in their power to accommodate us, and we are looking forward to a great show! 11.01.2022 Dear Athletes & Spectators!! A few things to remember about the venue: 1. The venue is open air so we have no control over the temperature! Pack clothing appropriate for warmer or cooler than expected. The forecast is for a warm 31 degrees, but it is cooler under the dome, and the show will go well into the evening and it may cool down. 2. Entry for the ABF event is separate from the main club entrance, follow the signs. 3. ATHLETES & SPECTATOS you will be required to com...plete an ONLINE COVID SIGN IN PROCEDURE BEFORE ENTRY TO THE VENUE AND TEMPERATURE CHECK 4. TO PICK UP TICKETS PLEASE BRING PHOTO ID AND A PRINT OUT OF THE SPECTATOR TICKETS PURCHASED. Tickets will be available at the entrance to ABF event. If you purchased a group of tickets, all tickets will be given to the purchaser. Tickets will then be exchanged at entry point for a colour coded wristband. 5. The ABF competitors and spectators will NOT have access to the main club. Therefore there will be no eftpos facilities to purchase food and drinks from the private bar, please bring cash. 6. Due to COVID, ATHLETES will need your own pump up equipment. 7. ATHLETES - Please ensure you arrive early and are ready to go on stage EARLY! Our shows are known for running fast and on time, we will not hold the event up for a competitor that is not ready. 8. Please remember your manners our events are run BY VOLUNTEERS who have worked EXTREMELY HARD to not only get this show happening during COVID, but have set up the venue over the past week. So please be courteous on the day. 9. SPECTATORS you’re NOT required to wear a mask, however, with excessive cheering you may be asked to put a mask on. 10. DUE TO COVID SPECTATORS ARE ASKED TO PLEASE REMAIN SEATED UNLESS GOING TO THE BATHROOM OR TO PURCHASE FOOD. 11. AHLETES Please pack appropriate clothing. You will need to be fully dressed eg dressing gown/long sleeve top and pants DUE TO YOUR TAN when not on stage. You will be asked to be fully dressed before leaving the pump up area. 12. This allows organisers more time for event scheduling. . Spectator tickets have been temporarily taken off the website as we believe we may need to break down the show into sessions due to current ticket sales and competitors interest!!! A set number of spectator tickets will be available for each session, once sold out that’s it. A limited number of ALL DAY tickets will also be available. Please ensure your supporters pre purchase tickets to avoid disappointment. At this stage, tickets will not be available for purchase on the day. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE SHORTLY.
