25.01.2022 P H O T O G R A P H Y ~ is art by recording light. A R T ~ is an expression of human creative skill. Like me, art is a free spirit. To me there is no such thing as correct exposure. I do not follow creative rules; to me that is a contradiction in terms.... This image was snapped way after sunset in night sky. The shoot had finished. However I witnessed this beautiful energy come from the horse towards her owner and wanted to pocket it for them. I love a good grainy, noisy and textured image. If I was a rule follower this would have been lost forever. Different by design. That's me.

18.01.2022 B A C K ~ And it feels great. Absolutely loved tonights sunset session. I've always loved my job but never ever will I take it for granted moving forward. The diary is busy and there is a beautiful buzz is in the air. I believe we are all more mindful following recent events and awareness is heightened that life is precious. Don't put off a shoot with silly reasoning, get amongst it, love yourself and love those around you. You snooze you loose! Call me x

18.01.2022 S U M M E R ~ 6 Days old. The latest edition to a beautiful, loving little family. A true professional in front of the lens. Her shoot was done at her own home making it easier for Mum, Dad and her big sister. Summer has a strong line of women to follow, mumma only came home from hospital two days ago, hosted a toddler birthday party yesterday and is a bridesmaid tomorrow. Strong mumma bear x

12.01.2022 K I D S ~ Home Schooling involved me passing on some family skills today. My eldest like his mum and great grandfather preferred to be shooting and behind the lens. He was really good and soaked up the technical side. Understanding the 3 main elements of manual shooting (Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO Settings) and how to manipulate them to get depth of field and lighting as he wanted. Rules of thirds was the challenge set for this shot... Nailed it. A quick Raw conversion and chat about a true B&W (not filters) and here it is...I'll save editing and file conversion in more depth for another day. The boy did well... The model is my youngest who just wanted to be the handsome model...opting for a moody off camera style. Owning it like a boss

11.01.2022 NDP is in the press again .... this time a beautiful story re letter writing to the older community in care homes during lockdown with no visitors. I actually involved my two boys and got them writing letters to a few residents.... (they’re the two twonks on the far right). Cycling Without Age in Sorrento are the brains behind this beautiful and thoughtful idea.

06.01.2022 I'm Nikki, a local self-employed photographer with two young boys...who are going to be spending a lot more time at home! Which is why I am offering boredom-busting, heavily discounted, family photo sessions to all of us in the same spot. A chance to get outside, dress up (or down, barefoot style), smile and create gifts to cheer up friends and relatives, wherever they are. All done outside and at a very safe social distance - my lens takes care of that! It's an opportunity... to capture everyone in one place perhaps get birthday presents sorted, Mothers Day, Christmas (can't believe I said that), treasured keepsakes and support a local business through uncertain times. Whilst the world is in chaos it's important we preserve our mental health and well being, create special times where possible and stay connected. All current health guidelines and legislation around COVID - 19 will be STRICTLY adhered to. 02.01.2022 M A T T E - Who loves a strong matte? These are incredible printed as Fine Art Prints, appearing velvet like. These days my prints are 99% Metallic or Fine Art. Gone are the days of plain old Lustre. As part of the 'after shoot consult' I explain all the products available, show samples and if requested can attend your home and offer styling advice. Its all part of the service x Life is precious, don't put it off. This image was for these beautiful sisters to gift a 7...5th Wedding Anniversary surprise to their parents.
