25.01.2022 Good to remember. Setting boundaries and saying no can be very difficult for some people.

25.01.2022 In the interests of the health and safety of my valued clients, myself and my family, I have decided to move all sessions to telehealth for the foreseeable future. This means that we can all stay safe in our homes while still accessing the psychological support we require. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email.

24.01.2022 A colleague of mine posted this on her page. It’s a helpful reminder to us all.

23.01.2022 Please note that at this stage, I will continue to see clients in person. Please note, however, that you will be unable to attend in person where, in accordance with the advice of the Australian Government and Department of Health, the following applies: If you have been overseas at any time in the last 14 days, If you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, If you have symptoms including cough, fever, fatigue, shortness of breath or ...sore throat, If you are unwell, please consult your GP or medical professional for advice. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact me.

23.01.2022 In the currently uncertain time, myCompass can teach you coping strategies to deal with stress and anxiety.

19.01.2022 The temptation to lift lift our kiddos out of the way of anxiety can be spectacular. Heres the rub though - avoidance has a powerful way of teaching them that ...the only way to feel safe is to avoid. This makes sense, but it can shrink their world. We also dont want to go the other way, and meet their anxiety by telling them theres nothing to worry about. They wont believe it anyway. The option is to ride the wave with them. Breathe, be still, and stay in the moment so they can find their way there too. This is hard - an anxious brain will haul them into the future and try to buddy them up with plenty of what-ifs - the raging fuel for anxiety. Let them know you get it, that you see them, and that you know they can do this. They wont buy it straight away, and thats okay. The brain learns from experience, so the more they are brave, the more they are brave - and we know they are brave.

15.01.2022 Anyone who attended the below venues at the times mentioned may be at risk of infection. You must strictly isolate at home for 14 days from those dates and be tested for COVID-19. If you attended any of these venues after these times, I still ask that you refrain from attending an in person appointment for a period of two weeks. Please let me know, and we can either reschedule your appointment or conduct it via Telehealth. - Hotel Jesmond on 29 July between 7pm and 9pm - Wa...llsend Diggers on 29 AND 30 July between 9pm and 11pm - Lambton Park Hotel on 30 July between 8pm until 9pm. - Toronto Court House on 27 July, between 7am and 2pm.
