25.01.2022 Mum and I are inpatient at the hospital. Luckily none of the nurses are immune to my charms and I have them all wrapped around my paws!!!

19.01.2022 Still stuck in hospital, but tonight my favourite nurse was on. You know why shes my favourite? She brings me meat sammiches from the kitchen and hand feeds them to me just cauz I brighten up her day. Because mum says its not fair on me to be on duty 24/7 for weeks at a time, Im basically allowed to make friends with everybody and many patients smile so much when they meet me.

16.01.2022 So I have to take daily supplements for my hips. Usually if I turn up my nose at them mum adds a little cheese to sweeten the deal. Today she offered me my special little supplements bowl complete with cheese twice. I turned my nose up at it both times. Before she went to get in to bed she thought she’d better try and offer me my supplements again, my little bowl was on the table where she left it but miraculously empty! How strange is that?!

16.01.2022 It’s my birthday!!!!! Happy birthday to all my litter mates! 7 years old and mum still calls me her baby borzoi, I guess I’ll always be her little puppy.

12.01.2022 I’m waiting with mummy in the emergency room. Three hours and counting. There was a lovely lady eating dim sums over there. She couldn’t finish them and came over and asked mum if I might like them!!! The power of puppy dog eyes, mummy never feeds me!! Look how skinny I am!!! This is not the first time strangers have fed me dim sums or sausage rolls #winning

12.01.2022 We have been moved to rehab. We are going to be in here for 6 weeks. But that’s ok, I now have all the rehab staff falling all over themselves to spoil me. This morning they brought in an extra cushion for me, they were worried my bed was too small and wanted to make it bigger. And a comfy dog blanket and a bag of yummy yummy treats!! #itsahardlife

If you’re a new handler it can... be hard to think this far ahead, or maybe you are also at the same place with your current dogs retirement looming. 09.01.2022 It’s been a big hard draining day for mum today and I’ve been working hard, this evening our friend came in with her assistance dog Simba. Simba and I have known each other for about 2 years, but always on duty together working side by side. And as I can be a bit of a jerk with other dogs mum has never given us the chance to play. Today I convinced mum I really was going to be a good boy, and we both got let off in the courtyard together. We zoomed and zoomed and played chasi...ng games. I have the speed, but Simba being smaller had the agility. We had a freaking ball together. It was just what mums heart needed tonight. Her mood is so much better after watching us play. Now I am a very tired borzoi curled up in mum’s bed snuggling against her all sleepy. It’s squishy as hell with both of us in the tiny single hospital bed, but I don’t mind. See more

08.01.2022 Today a lovey surprise package came in the mail from my friend Redman the borzoi. Don’t I look dapper in my new bandanna?! Thank you Redman!!!

06.01.2022 Mum abandoned me and left me to die!!!!! Well at least that’s the look I gave her when she left me at the groomers this morning. I was not a fan of being left with strangers and mum actually leaving the building!!!!!! But she did come back for me and I forgave her for this act of neglect. Now she says I’m super floofy and soft and actually white not beige and I didn’t die but totally made mum cry as she left me there.

04.01.2022 Yesterday Hanna took me out for walkies. I was a very happy boy getting to stretch my legs. I came back with a satisfied smile on my dial.
