17.01.2022 Niko's Chillin' Chilli is excited to announce that we are now supporting@christmasonthestreets! COTS is a not-for-profit, based here in our backyard of Melbourne, and have been supporting men and women experiencing homelessness since 2016. Since their establishment, they have provided essential care and companionship to tens of thousands of people in need through their outreach, events, fundraisers and school programs. The need for the COTS movement is greater now, more than... ever. Since lockdown in Victoria, COTS has been on the frontline providing meals to our city's most vulnerable currently in crisis accommodation and have collectively distributed over 11,000 meals, along with necessities like masks, sanitiser, clothing and sanitary items. Now, simply by purchasing from Niko's Chillin' Chilli, you too can support COTS and help them continue the work they do. A portion of all our profits will be donated directly to COTS with 100% of all donations going directly back into the movement! We are stronger together!

05.01.2022 LAST NIGHT Very special words by @christmasonthestreets Another 330 meals went out yesterday to mark WEEK 6 of the#AUnitedFrontInitiative and the official meal count, inclusive of all charities involved, is at 14,760!... There were a number of conversations that took place last night that reminded us of the importance of this work. One of our friends, currently staying in crisis accommodation said, We don’t deserve this. We don’t deserve you coming out and giving us these meals every night. When we asked him why he thought he didn’t deserve it he said, I’ve stuffed up so many times. My family, my friends none of them will ever take me back but you guys spoil us. Even when you could have stopped because of the restrictions, you make sure we’re looked after every single night. We reminded him that we’re all just doing the best we can with the cards we’ve been dealt in life; all of us have stuffed up at one point and none of us are perfect because we’ve all needed a number of chances at some stage. He looked up and said, It sounds silly but the truth is, you coming out here every day since we’ve been given these rooms has been what has kept me going. It’s not even about the food. You show us that there are still people who care and that is enough to help me get through, even on the hardest of days. I look forward to seeing you every week. The truth is, this feeling is mutual. His words are what keep us going. Reminding him that he always has been, and always will be, worthy of a meal was our pleasure. Him reminding us of the importance of this movement was an even bigger blessing. For as long as the world needs COTS, we will be serving on the frontlines. Once again, we want to thank every single person who has contributed to keeping this initiative going. We simply cannot do it without you. What was meant to be a five-week program is now, most likely, going to continue through to the end of the year. Your support is what makes this possible. We hope you go to sleep tonight knowing you have helped keep thousands of people fed, but more importantly, you have helped remind thousands that they are loved and worthy #cots#homelessnothopeless
