25.01.2022 Today the club went into the Mount Jerusalem National Park. 20 Members had a great 5 hours walking the trails and a bit of rough stuff as well as a couple of leisurely breaks in some gorgeous creek locations. Photo of some of the members finishing the walk at the Whiskey Creek Gate.

24.01.2022 Last weekend the club spent a few days at Black Rocks another of our favorite camp/walking spots. Showery weather part of the time but the walks had clear weather. More photos on the web site soon.

23.01.2022 A great few days at Bald Rock, more photos on the web page early next week, also check out upcoming walks

23.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago we went to Woody Head for the weekend, great weather on the Friday and Saturday morning. Some went walking while others went for a paddle ...on the Esk River. Saturday arvo weather clear but a 50kmh wind put a dampener on activities. Howled all night and into the morning. A nice walk in the rain forest before a coffee and cake to finish off the weekend. Maybe a great weekend compared to this one. 345mm of rain in 2 days at Ocean Shores See more

23.01.2022 We have had a few or more wet walks lately but today we had a perfect winters day, Mount Chowan near UKI. Cool, crisp day with great visibility, 21 members came out and a fab day was had by all, thanks Anne for bringing us here.

22.01.2022 The Bush-walkers took to the water with a paddle up the Brunswick River and then up some gorgeous side creeks for a bit of exploring. With the warmer weather we will do some more

22.01.2022 Walking with us this Sunday? Here's all you need to know ...

21.01.2022 While at Bald Rock we headed the short distance to Boonoo Boonoo and did the 13km track along the river from the new campground to the Falls and return. An enjoyable and not overly strenuous walk. As can be seen in the photo, President Pete was prepared with ice cold beers and Chardonnay as well as a very nice Shiraz to compliment the cheese, crackers and dolmades. I think a better option than cappuccinos and lattes.

18.01.2022 Last Sunday the Bush walkers took to the water and were led by Steve to a few backwaters on the Brunswick River. Enjoyed by all and another paddle with walks at Woody Head on the weekend starting the 27th November.

18.01.2022 A bit more action from Springbrook

18.01.2022 Minyon Falls was the clubs first walk of the year, bit damp but when visiting a waterfall and rain forest just gorgeous. 12 members took on the loop walk but the water crossing at the bottom a bit treacherous so a backtrack was taken. enjoyed by all and now for the next adventure. Thanks Meg for the photos.

14.01.2022 A bit late but we recently had a day walk at Mt Nardi near our home town Nimbin. Again a good turn out of keen walkers and the weather was first rate. Nothing more was needed for a great day. the photos say it all, Thanks Phil for your great camera work. next week off to Girraween NP and early June a nice day walk not far from Minyon Falls.

13.01.2022 Change of plan for Sundays walk. Great to walk in rain forest in the wet but maybe a bit too much this week. We are now going to the Billinudgel Nature Reserve meeting at 8.30 at the New Brighton Store, this is a lovely walk through some regeneration coastal tracks before heading into the paperbark forest.

13.01.2022 A post dinner take at Minnie Water. 10 members. mild evening around the fire. almost clear skies. Tomorrow iffy but Sunday looking good

10.01.2022 More Photos from Evans Head thanks to Phil and Roz. The coastal scenery is superb and the coastal heath had birds galore, the Banksias were very healthy and particularly the lorraciets were having a feast.

07.01.2022 Wow what a difference a day makes. Springbrook NP was down for the weekend but the "weather whisperer" suggested why not make a full day and go up Saturday morning and get in the walks and come back for dinner. Great day out for 9 members. The only moisture came from the waterfalls. The recent rain had the forest and falls at their best. All agreed in 10km the scenery and atmosphere awesome. Honorary membership been given to the "WW"

07.01.2022 A coastal walk was on for the day. The Billinudgel Nature Reserve. 11 members did the walk, hot and steamy weather but a shady trip and with the beach about a swim for some. The creek was up so some decided shoes off and back on. Great day with great company.

07.01.2022 We had rain overnight but only one or two showers today. Saturday looking dull but sunny Sunday ahead

07.01.2022 Again did we win with the weather, 21 walkers enjoyed the coastal walk at Evans Head. This is another of our regular favorites, not a long walk but plenty to take in and on such a nice day.

06.01.2022 Quick update, the club went to Lake Arragan for the weekend with some members just coming for the day walks. Photos and update later but this is 6.30 am Sunday and the weather only got better.

04.01.2022 A great day in Byron Bay, train trip to start and finish and a leisurely walk to the lighthouse and back. President Peter S doing what he does best gave us very insightful commentary along the way

04.01.2022 Getting ready for pre dinner drinks

03.01.2022 Last Sunday the club was in the Whian Whian State Conservation Area a great area for a variety of walks. We went back to the Hidden Valley, 3 years since we were here last. Still a great spot to walk into and explore, some bush-fire damage from last year but regrowth coming through strongly, In the deeper protected area beautiful ferns and mosses with still cascading water as well. A very enjoyable day was had by all and now off for our next adventure. check out the website for more walks and photos of our activities.

03.01.2022 New walks from 11 April 2021 through to 13 June 2021 now available on our website: https://www.nimbinbushwalkers.com/walks-calendar
