21.01.2022 A new piece completed. It’s amazing how much colour you find in a black cockatoo. This piece will appear in @bespokeholidayhouse #noblackpaintused #fortheloveofcolour #colourplay #autumncolours #blackcockatoo #oilpainting
21.01.2022 Finally completed... a huge colourful piece. #schnauzerlove #beachschnauzer #lovecolour #oilpainting #schnauzerlife #nodoggetsleftbehind
20.01.2022 Yay to the first day of spring! I painted this pic from a photo I took in the arboretum where daffodils grow every year. #springtime #daffodils #sunshine
20.01.2022 I have gone a little bird crazy. #kookaburra #oilpainting #lovecolour #aussiewildlife #australianbirds #nature
19.01.2022 A new piece completed. A little duck by the pond. Based on a photo I took in New Zealand at the Hobbit Village. This one is tiny. Much smaller than my usual size. It is a custom fit to this antique frame found at a garage sale 30 plus years ago. #oneofakind #customartwork #hobbiton #hobbitvillage #duckpond #originalart #oilpainting #recycledframe

15.01.2022 Such a fascinating artist. JMW Turner. Long before the impressionists he was creating vibrant expressive works. #coffeetablebooks
14.01.2022 I have been taking a little break from oils to focus some time on drawing. I must admit to being somewhat of an impatient drawer so I am committing a little time each day to it. You never stop learning and evolving. #pencildrawings #sketch #keepingfocused #dailycreativetime
13.01.2022 This week we suddenly lost one of the towns most well know local artists Brian Elvish. I have known Brian for over 30 years. He painted my signs when i had a local shop (one of which i still have), he sat through an interview with me when i was studying, he introduced me to Hans Heysen who was his favourite Australian artist. He offered to work side by side with me to mentor me on oil painting landscapes. I regret very much that i did not make the time to do that with him. You just never know what is to come. I will keep in my mind all the advice he has offered and try to improve my work every day. His work will always be a part of Bright and he will be very much missed by the local community. p.s. I have posted this one of my paintings as it was one he regularly chatted to me about.
11.01.2022 This year was to be the year I did more of what I love to do. I did ok but this year I have set some seriously hard goals so it’s time to push that bit harder. No pain no gain right? #best9of2019
07.01.2022 Wow that was tough with the time restrictions but really fun. #sbslifedrawinglive
05.01.2022 A new bird artwork completed. I have a huge library of photos of birds and I use only my own images to paint. I was lucky to catch this and other pics of a very funny galah clowning around. Such a joy! #pinkgalah #happybird #aussiewildlife #australianbirds #happygalah #australianmade #aussieartist
05.01.2022 This large scale painting was started years ago but sat aside while I happily worked away on pet portraits. A nice colourful piece for my own wall. #cinqueterrepainting #cinqueterre #privatecollection
