11.01.2022 As we head into Sunday we are happy to report that we have not experienced any damage in resort or at Dinner Plain through the significant fire activity yesterd...ay. The cool change that came through last night has seen the threat ease for now. A massive thank you is deserved for the CFA team that have done such a wonderful job working to prepare and secure the resort and Dinner Plain. Fires remain active nearby and the immediate threat remains at both Dinner Plain and Hotham Airport. Access to Hotham remains closed. It will be a challenging period ahead for all that are connected with Hotham and Dinner Plain. We will continue to work with the CFA and all resort stakeholders to prepare and secure Hotham for further fire threats so we can protect both resort assets and our community over the coming weeks. Our thoughts are with the communities of Cobungra and Omeo that sadly suffered loses yesterday. Thank you for the huge amount of messages that have been coming through.

04.01.2022 Mt Hotham update - January 7 The resort remains closed as there continues to be fire activity in the area and high temperatures are forecast for later this week.... Air quality in the area remains very poor and could impact your health. If possible please stay away from the area for your personal safety. RMB staff are checking all properties and undertaking critical works around some properties; cutting back of trees and brush that encroach close to buildings, clearing of leaf litter etc. to protect property should further fire activity occur. We owe enormous gratitude and thanks to the local CFA who have worked tirelessly to protect our communities of Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain.
