As a reminder, the fires up here burnt across 23,000 hectares and affected hundreds of primary producers and businesses with significant loss and damage to vineyard, horticulture, farms and stock. Almost 30% of our entire Hills wine region plantings were impacted. The flow on effect within the region has been severe and will be ongoing for years to come. The culmination of generous donations of juice from 21 Hills producers, the final blend is a 2019 Syrah Meunier that reflects the delicate and floral elegance our region and winefolk are so talented at crafting and at $28 a bottle, this is a cracking wine for a very worthy cause at a sharp price. Drink the Hills and support the region to recover with every drop. 05.01.2022 Today was a good day...we were surrounded by love and support from family, friends, and new friends...how very lucky we are to have and know such wonderful peop...le who are so willing to help us when times get a little tough...we feel so humbled and blessed Our beautiful kids Hannah Cox Will Cox and Tamlyn Dell'Oro (we missed you Ollie Cox Edwina Cox Wyatt Green) organized a working bee to clean up the vineyard ...something Simon and I were finding totally overwhelming ...not only did their crew remove every wire and dripper line from the vineyard they took down and removed most of our burnt out boundary fences on the property...a job that would have taken us 6 months to do...we can not thank you enough #ninefingers #sauvignonblanc #adelaidehills #adelaidehillswine See more
