14.01.2022 I’ve just taken 2 weeks off Instagram. Went the whole hog and deactivated the whole damn account (it’s ok though, it’s right there when you want to come back, you just have to log back in!) It sounds so dramatic- DEACTIVATE- but it’s just there in the wings...waiting for you to change your mind back. || Something had occurred 2 weeks ago that made me crawl up in a ball with total embarrassment. I'm not going to go into details, but basically I was distracted...with inst...agram. Posting on my stories all the shit I was getting up to in the day, and I dropped the ball on an important commitment. This lead to the true realisation that Instagram is ONE BIG DISTRACTION MONSTER FOR ME. || Once I deactivated, my brain literally became free..it was lighter, emptier...so my real thoughts about shit could really come through...so I started writing them down in my notes on my phone. It was so bloody liberating. || What I definitely noticed was my incessant need to post about ev. re. thing. Stuff arrived in the post, and I went to make a story about it...stopping short because I would remember I didn't have Insta activated. I went away with my gal pals for the weekend and my phone was only out for pics and music. I’ve read more books than ever. My kids have had my full attention. I started painting.all the cliche shit, but really the important shit. 05.01.2022 Making his bouquet made my heart literally sing. || I cannot deny the beauty of working with such fluffy romantic scented blooms such as these. || I also had the opportunity to use snapdragons that were locally grown and they smelt like absolute heaven.... || This was my final booked wedding for the season and it had my heart in all the right ways because of all the wobbliness of the Coronacoaster, all my love and intention went into this beautiful wedding. 01.01.2022 Something has happened with me during the course of this year that has caused me to really go within to reflect and actually work out what do I really want for myself for my family for my business. || So In saying this I have built some firm boundaries around my communications during the Christmas period. I’m in the process of individually emailing all my beautiful and amazing clients for next year wishing them a glorious Christmas season and explaining that I will be avail...able again for them from 28 January next year as I know it is vitally important for me to really disconnect, disengage completely and spend time with my family around this Christmas period. || This whole year has been such a deeep learning experience for me. It’s forced me to ask what do I really want and how do I want to steer this ship for 2021 and beyond. || My 2 week insta vacay was also a devoted deeeeep dive into what the hell I’m doing and how I wanna do the doing. I journaled via the notes app on my phone everrryday. I’m not a big sit down journaller.. 01.01.2022 The sweetest simple garden inspired bouquet for my beautiful client Norma. || It’s been a journey and a half my lovely, and it was a pleasure to finally serve up all your delicious florals for your day yesterday. You have a heart as big as the ocean and the love you have for your Gabe is nothing short of breathtaking. ||... I was quite emotional on the drive up to the estate.
