23.01.2022 All the training opportunities are happening!! Here we have The HubStudio’s six-week series with me that explores in-depth a highly physical approach to acting and stage presence through the rigour and discipline of the Suzuki Method of Actor Training. This is different to the Sunday Sessions we run as part of Ninefold’s subscription program. This series with Hub Studio is a much more intensive and focused look at the training. It’s great for breaking down and studying the S...uzuki method in greater detail. Check out https://www.thehubstudio.com.au/suzuki-technique/ for more details and bookings.

21.01.2022 Have you checked out our subscription program? We have launched a new Ninefold membership subscription. It works similar to Patreon or a Netflix subscription. Patrons contribute monthly and receive access to certain benefits depending on how much they pay per month. The $9 per month tier includes training with the company once a month. We have been trailing the program internally since October 2020 and its been a roaring success. Everyone in the company is a member (includin...g Shy!) and it’s been a great way to keep connected in post-covid times. Click through and sign up now. https://www.ninefoldensemble.com/subscription

17.01.2022 SUZUKI'S CREATIVE TRAJECTORY IN TOGA is the Suzuki Company of Toga’s latest documentary released on YouTube just this week. In addition to clips from SCOT’s productions ‘Trojan Women’, ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’, ‘Dionysus’, ‘King Lear’, ‘Ivanov’ and ‘Greetings from the Edge of the Earth’, there’s absolutely BOSS footage of the company training in the Suzuki Method. This is one of the most up-to-date resources on SCOT’s work and training direct from the company themselves. Very gla...d they’ve put this out there. Much of the theatre pedagogy world still has its slight touches of old-school gendering and euro-centric perspectives on theatre history which I’m personally trying to challenge in my own thinking. Still, working with artists and companies birthed in the 20th century, including this one, changed my life and I’d highly recommend watching this for those wanting a sense of the work, the philosophies and the training practice of this incredible company. Follow the link to watch.
