25.01.2022 The before and after of Heathers favourite recovery food: cos lettuce. For a 100kg girl she is able to delicately eat all the greenery off the stalk.
24.01.2022 On the positive: We have not one but TWO releases this Saturday at 3.45pm in front of the Yacht Club to kick off the Fire Fundraiser organised by our wonderful Adam Moir! Catalina and AJ are fully recovered and ready to return to the sea. Please join us to celebrate their return to health!
23.01.2022 Release time! Great news - little Rorie turtle has been treated, has made a full recovery, and is now ready for release! Please join us at 5pm this Saturday, 7 March 2020 at Town Beach in front of the yacht club to farewell Rorie back to sea. All welcome!
23.01.2022 Heartbroken to advise that despite intensive care, the 15kg turtle from Carnarvon, whom we called Mary, passed away last night. She was comfortable at the end, cared for and not alone. The important thing is that we all tried so hard! Wonderful animal carer Mary, R & L Couriers, the community - everyone pulled together to give her the best chance of survival. She had gentle head rubs before she died. RIP precious Mary - you are free to swim the great oceans now Dear Little One.
21.01.2022 Wait there’s more! Watch GWN7 News at 5.30pm to see our Susie Bedford and Bradley Dohnt talk about Adamina’s care and release!
19.01.2022 And then there was Charlie. Back up to 4 babies in rehab at the moment. He was found a floater off Pebble beach last weekend. Very under weight weak but already responding to treatment.
19.01.2022 Very proud! Thanks GWN7. If you would like to help purchase some digital scales to weigh the turtles and other much needed equipment here is our GoFundMe link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/7g9ue2-ningaloo-sea-turtle-rehab
18.01.2022 Helbys release.
18.01.2022 Please meet Rorie who came in today from Janes Bay. Shes 9.9kgs at the mo. Very lethargic but Jane will work her magic.
18.01.2022 Introducing Jacoba. Shes a very sick adult loggerhead turtle. Thanks to Sam, Chloe and especially Jacob for helping resuce her from the marina yesterday afternoon. She is very under weight and weak. We gave her a wash down and put her on a glucose drip overnight to bring her energy level back up.
17.01.2022 Look at this incredible journey! It proves to us now, more than ever, that the work we do with rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing these magnificent sea turtles is utterly vital. Shes come back home to WA. Welcome back beautiful girl!
17.01.2022 Last glimpse of Kylie heading into the water!
17.01.2022 Heartfelt thanks to Peter and Mandy of Yardie Creek Boat Tours for the very kind and generous donation they made to the Centre. This especially when so many tourist businesses, like theirs, were hard hit by the Covid-19 lock down. The funds have gone towards much needed filtration equipment. With 3 baby greens in care at the moment our small-tank systems are struggling to keep up. You guys ROCK! For anyone who hasnt yet been on one of Yardie Creek Boat Tours trips up the creek - you gotta get there and be wowed!
16.01.2022 Huge thanks go to John and Corrina of Exmouth Pharmacy. They have given our Centre medications for our turtles at enormously discounted prices, priced we suspect may be well below cost. John is an unsung hero, like so many in the Exmouth community. Rosie, Heather, Alexis, Amy and AJ turtle will benefit hugely from this generosity!
16.01.2022 We are exceptionally fortunate to have received a huge donation from our wonderful supporter, Peter Trujillo, which has paid for all our turtles dewormers. Thank you, Peter - $1,000 is an enormous amount and we are deeply grateful for your generosity and kindness.
15.01.2022 Is there anyone coming up from Carnarvon today/tomorrow who could bring this poor sick sea turtle to us for care? Thank you!

13.01.2022 Happy World Sea Turtle Day!
12.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon we bid farewell to both Catalina and AJ from Town Beach in Exmouth. Both juveniles and both ready to go back to sea following their rehab. Their release was timed to coincide with the Fire Aid Jam fundraiser held at the Yacht Club. The release was a symbol of hope for all (humans and animals) going through rehab after the devastating fires.
12.01.2022 The kindness and generosity of our Exmouth Community continues - enormous thanks to Adam Watkins of MG Kailis for donating yet more squid to our hungry turtles. Thank you Adam! Here is our 75kg Green Sea Turtle Alexis checking out her dinner.
10.01.2022 Meet AJ - our latest edition, named after AJ Sutherland who rescued him/her . Only a small turtle but another floater. We currently have 5 turtles in our care - 3 big green females (100kg and 2 at approx 80kg each.) Rosie our cute little green and now AJ. We released Corinne our Hawksbill last Thursday. She almost ran into the water.
10.01.2022 A grim discovery.
08.01.2022 Young AJ enjoying the fresh sea water being pumped into his tank today. Shortly before I captured this he was trying to bite the hose. You can see the indents on both sides of his carapace from whatever pollution snared him. He is coming on so well.
07.01.2022 Release of our little Green turtles Catalina and AJ at town beach yesterday. Thanks to all our community supporters for coming down to cheer them on their journey.
07.01.2022 An impressive rear view of Rorie as she heads for the waters of the Exmouth Gulf. Shes our 12th successful rehab to be sent home well eager to get going. Sincere thanks to all who have helped and especially those who, without their selfless generosity, wed not be able to do this work. Tony, Sandra, Glenn, Sophia and all who have donated, THANK YOU! This what your kind donations have enabled.
07.01.2022 A huge shout out to Exmouths own Tyrepower who very kindly and generously replaced the turtles sea water tankers trailer tyre free of charge! Very much appreciated indeed.
07.01.2022 Wonderful news! Jacoba ate her first piece of squid this evening. (And nearly ate Charles finger with it!) Special thanks to Adam and Leah Watkins of MG Kailis for donating yet more squid for our turtles. Your generosity is boundless. Yardie Creek Boat Tours have kindly donated further funds to the turtles, as have Megan and Josh Greene. These generous donations will go towards purchasing a filtration unit for Jacobas tank.Thank you all so very much for your kindness!
06.01.2022 More generosity from our Exmouth Community: Amanda Campbell has very kindly donated a 1000 litre water tank for collection of sea water for our turtles! Having two tanks in operation now that we have 5 turtles in care will make our lives so much easier. Thank you, Amanda!
05.01.2022 Jacoba tucking into some squid. Shes become a ferocious eater in a matter of days. From being a sick and lethargic turtle shes well on her way to recovery. All thing being even shell be in a bigger tank tomorrow.

01.01.2022 The release of Adamina was a great success which wouldn't have been possible without some hard work behind the scenes. Big thanks to Trace Mills who is on our committee as the media and PR coordinator, and Grace Keast, our treasurer and one of our rehab turtle carers, who did the successful livestream of Adamina's release. Such an exciting and very successful event.
