With a focus on cetaceans his expertise, knowledge and... appreciation of wilderness areas across the globe, marine and terrestrial, is both vast and inspiring. Michael found Ningaloo to be much more than he expected and was amazed at the level of productivity and amount of marine life - here in a tropical location where biodiversity rules but abundance and mass is usually low. 11.01.2022 'Gang of four' are lurking, spotted again today in LHB, the fourth sighting this past month. Not usually sighted till later in May or June to match the arrival ...of the humpback migration, we're very interested in any information on feeding witnessed during the next few weeks ... Have just finished up work off bremer with recent calm autumn south coast conditions...another giant squid (Architeuthus) yesterday with a 2.2m mantle, kws breaching, a new season calf, and a few sperm whale and pilot whale samples... looking forward to the winter season and return to Ningaloo ...thanks for all the reports and images of recent sightings...
