03.01.2022 Volunteers wanted The clean-up and recovery from cyclone Seroja continues for many of our rural neighbours. BlazeAid have been out in full force, visiting a n...umber of rural properties, assisting them with tree clearing, fencing reinstatement and debris clean up and removal. Anyone who can offer time to add to the numbers of volunteers and maximise their effort, needs to be at their camp base in Yuna at the Community Centre, or Oakabella Homestead in Northampton by 7.15am to be registered as a volunteer and deployed for the day. Please contact Judy Bland from BlazeAid on 0427 614 546 if you can offer some time to them. A big shout out to the team at Rigters IGA for supporting the BlazeAid crews with meals

Chapman River Regional Park SPECIAL GUESTS Join Julie Firth from The Drylands Permaculture Farm on a spectacular wildflower show through the Chapman River Regional Park. Captured by the beauty of wildflowers in her early 20's Julie has gone on to research, study, collect, and propagate many of these exquisite plants. Indulge in and enjoy Julie's storytelling of these magnificent plants and their exquisite adaptations to survive and thrive in our semi-arid climate. Suitable for children 6y+. Your safety is YOUR responsibility. Paths are rough. Wear appropriate bush clothes, closed sturdy shoes, sunhat, sunscreen, (raincoat). BYO water bottle. Please keep your canine friend at home - to give us a chance to observe our wildlife during our walk. If weather is inclement walks may be cancelled.
