23.01.2022 Friday 22/11/19 What learning Evolved today Today , Matthew and Mariam engaged in a challenging grasping and manipulating activity, I set up some cottons in a basket with tong and jar . Then I encouraged our children to use tongs to put small cottons in a jar. First of all children were looking and touching carefully then they picked up tongs in their both hands using their palms and tried to pick the cotton one by one from the basket and then put them in the jar. It was so ...cute to see how they enjoyed from this activity. Analysts of learning Demonstrating their strong sense of autonomy and being open to new challenges and discoveries, Children showed strong sense of identity. Exploring and sensing the resources before begin to play, show their tactile learning style. They showed their palmer grasp, coordination and hand control while trying to pick things with the tong. This reflect on their ability to remain involved in their learning. Where will this go? Helping children to develop self help skills in using tongs for their morning tea fruit serve.



22.01.2022 What learning evolved today? For indoor play, I set up puzzles on the mat and encouraged children to participate in this activity. Mariam approached the puzzle area and indicated her interest as she picked out a puzzle board and began to take all the pieces out. After taking several pieces out of their spot, she began to attempt to replace the pieces. She used a combination of both hands to grasp and manipulate the pieces. Mia was busy playing with farm animal puzzle while sh...e said the names of animals and sounds of them and she was sorting and classifying puzzles. Diar and Isabella held the animal puzzle while using their tripod grip and were twisting and manipulating it fixed it in the given space Analysts of learning During this puzzle board experience, Children demonstrates their comprehension skills as they grasps and manipulates the small pieces, they are extending on their fine motor development. They were making controlled movements of their wrist and hand as they places the pieces into empty spots. Mia expressed her interest of exploring the farm animals while calling out their names and sounds and recognizing them. Follow up activity Working on group puzzle, we set up more puzzles activity

21.01.2022 What learning evolve today? Today for the indoor play, children were involved in pretend cooking where they were engaging themselves in a social play with their peers while emptying and filling the fruits and vegetables baskets. Also children were doing pretend cutting with plastic knives and put them in the plate. Analysts of learning Children explored their environment with lot of motivation and interest. They innovated , initiates in play for the purpose of its function. ...With these variety of meaningful experiences it’s an evident that Children demonstrated keen interest in pretend cooking. They used their excellent developing cognitive skills of involving themselves in an imaginative play of pretend cooking. They, in these expereices used their locomotive and sensory skills to explore the set ups to the fullest and felt sense of achievement. Where will this take us: Because of their interest in pretend cooking , in the future our little chefs want to make a sandwich and have a party together

18.01.2022 What learning Evolved today Isabella was engaged in a fun sensory art and craft experience today. I placed the shaving foam on a tray, then mixed different food colouring to create colour. Isabella used her hands and mixed them while touching foam and she was looking and pointing at them. Isabella engaged happily through this sensory science experiment. Analysts of learning ... During the experience, Isabella showed a lot of interest, while she was touching the foam and mixing them with her little fingers. She was engaged in the sensory play, where she was exploring her senses of touch and feel. Isabella was using her cognitive skills which looking and pointing at the colours. She also showed that she is a confident and involved learner. She developed skills and processes such as enquiry, hypothesising and investigating. Where will this go? 16.01.2022 What learning evolve today? Following our cooking and cutting fruit this week , today I encouraged children to explore the experience of making pretend yummy hamburger experience. In this experience children were involved in a social activity where they were carefully making and serving their peers in stacking up the wooden burger ingredients likewise salad , ham & cheese. Further I guided them in putting the ingredients on the ring . Matthew was a bit reluctant initially, b...ut then when I was interacting with his peers he tried to put the ingredients . Analysts of learning Children are becoming strong in their social and emotional well being. In this experience children involved where they were demonstrating their developing social skills making ham burgers along side their peers. they demonstrated their keen interest in sorting and classifying the wooden burger stacking ring with attention span. They with eye hand and concentration engaged themselves while developing cognitive and fine motor skills. Where will this take us: Because of their interest in pretend burger we will make fruit salad together

14.01.2022 What learning Evolved today? For today children activity, I decided to set up a basket with colourful magnetic shapes on the mat. Then I put Isabella next to the basket and showed her how to put the magnetic shapes into the basket. Isabella quickly gained a sense of belonging to the environment and followed me nicely. She was moving one of the shapes in front when holding the other one of them firmly and then put them in the basket. She felt sense of achievement as she spent ...a while on this activity and was smiling using her facial expressions. Analysts of learning She was using her developing cognitive and hand motor skills as she was holding and putting them into the basket slowly. Throughout the experience, she was able to show how she was a confident and involved learner in her environment. Follow up activity So we can continue to encourage Isabella to empty and fill recycle yoghurt bin with balls or other items with different shape.

12.01.2022 To continue the Christmas topic, I prepared plate rings for the children with green oil color. Children made their hand print on the plate rings as Christmas wreaths for the holiday and decorated on them. A sensory experience was engaged in when children were able to put their hands on the green oil color and explored it while using their hand motor skills.



10.01.2022 Thursday 21/11/19 What learning Evolved today For today activity I stuck a big piece of contact paper on a big wall for my children to express themselves with painting. Children were enjoying participating in a great art activity while using their sensory skills by touching different colors and sharing their happiness and humorous together. This messy painting experience today, was a great way for children to start expressing their creativity. Analysis of Learning ... While children were enjoying squishing the paint between their fingers they were developing their concentration, eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. Using their fingers to paint they were learning to use each finger separately. As we talked about the paint colours They were helped to build their word knowledge and colour concepts. Where will this go: Continue messy painting on the recycling materials.

09.01.2022 What learning evolved today? For art and craft today, children were involved in the sensory exploration. In this experience, I placed a paper of different kinds of materials. Children while using their sensory dispositions explored different textures such as shiny, fluffy, silky etc., they tough them with little fingers. In addition, they were feeling the texture and squishing them one by one. Analysts of learning ... Children enjoyed from touching items. This experience show us how they use their senses to explore the world around them. This leads to a child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks and supports cognitive growth, imagination, gross motor skills, social interaction and problem solving skills Follow up activity: We arrange more sensory and sensitive activity for them in the future

09.01.2022 Thursday 28/11/19 What learning Evolved Today Today Mariam had fun when she got involved in playing mummy-Baby role. Mariam chose a doll, we put it in the high chair together, and I fasten the belt. Then I gave Mariam a bowl of biscuits and asked her to feed the baby doll. She knew how to feed her, and then she picked up a wet wipe and clean doll’s hands and face. It was lovely to see how she is enjoying from this activity. She was acting like a real mum. ... Analysts of learning During this activity, Mariam involved herself in a dramatic play, which was feeding her doll, and cleaning her face after eating, this activity had a lot of opportunities to develop her fine motor, cognitive, Social and self-help skills. 06.01.2022 What learning evolved today? For today art and craft session, I involved children in the sensory experience of drawing with the colour ice cubes. It was observed that the kids were nicely moving the paddle pop sticks on the paper in zigzag motion. As they were demonstrating their keen interest in exploring the ice cubes, I offered them another ice cube stick. Mia held both the sticks with palmer grasp continuing moving the ice cubes sticks. I interacted," Nice colouring Mia".... She promptly responded by saying, It’s cold, nodded her head while looking at me, and continued doing colouring. Isabella and Diar were touching the ice and they were trying Painting on the paper while holding ices with their little fingers Analysts of learning In this experience Mia, Diar and Isabella are confident and involved learners. As they participate in the painting with colourful ice cubes, they develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, enthusiasm, persistence and imagination. In addition, Mia while using her sensory skills was able to say that the ice cubes were cold further demonstrating her conceptual knowledge about cold ice cubes. Mia is developing her language skills as she looks and point while communicating. Where will this go? Based on children’s interest in exploring sensory coloured ice cubes, we will do more similar type of experiences.
