Dam: Nioka Orla 738 (PS) DOB: 28/10/2018 Switch was meant to be our lead bull for RBWS 2020, however after suffering a significant shoulder injury just weeks before nominations closed, we ended up retaining him after what turned out to be a very lengthy recovery process. For a bull of only 31 months of age and having not long completed his first joining, we are impressed with how well he has held up. 19.01.2022 Sending off a few more Allflex TSU’s for processing through Neogen. We use DNA testing on all our sires, donor cows and sale team candidates along with the lead of our paddock bulls. Typically we use the Brahman Standard Bundle that incorporates parentage verification, poll/horn genes, Pompes and genomics (One step EBVs). Having a long standing focus on the poll phenotype we have recently started testing our cow base to identify the percentage and prevalence of the homozygou...s poll gene. We have found that the Allflex TSU collection process is efficient, clean and easier to implement than the tail hair alternative that we had used prior to making the change. We feel that by using TSUs we eliminate the risk of a sample being compromised and ensure that the overall sample integrity is of the highest standard possible. We highly recommend using Allflex TSU’s to those discerning producers who are looking to incorporate genetic testing into their operation.

10.01.2022 After almost 10 hours on the truck,the boys arrived in Charters Towers yesterday. Safe to say after a bath, a pick at some hay and a big drink, they were keen for nanna nap in Pen 142 at Dalrymple Saleyard's. A big shout out to Paul and Darcy at Clairy's Livestock Transport on another great job delivering our bulls the distance, taking great care and having them arrive in tip top condition.

10.01.2022 It was a big day at the office for 'Pablo' with 6 sons, from 3 different prefixes, selling at the Big Country Brahman Sale in Charters Towers to average $30,500. NCC Dandenong, pulled the second top priced red bull of the sale, selling for a whopping $85,000 - on account of NCC Brahmans, knocked down to Percol Plains, McKinlay QLD.... Just 10 lots later, Clukan Rusti 1507 sold for $35,000 on account of Steve and Theresa Taylor - Clukan Brahman Stud, Jambin.
