25.01.2022 A BIG thank you to our wonderful Club Members who recently joined us for our Nipper Annual General Meeting. We would like to introduce our elected Executive Committee for the 2020-21 season (see pic - oops our awesome IRB Crew of Mitch and Curtis have been omitted ) This season we welcome Kylie Springall, Sandra Hoer, Bronwyn Nagy, Armando Rojas, Chad Springall and Amanda Tierney. It's great to have you both on board!... The Nipper section also say farewell to Brook Fleming, Donna Hargreaves, Mick McGrath, Jody Waugh and Sue Woodger as they step down from their roles this season after many many years of volunteering for the kids at Nippers. The NC Club appreciate their incredible efforts and dedication at Nippers, they havent gone far and are all helping out in the Senior section (but will be greatly missed ) Check out the list of volunteers and roles, there are a few we need to fill. We also have some parents volunteering as U7 squad leaders but need a couple more. Dont hesitate to get in touch if youd like to help in anyway. Whats next? Memberships and registrations. As you can imagine, there's been a lot to consider and discuss and we'll be able to share the details with you soon. Stay tuned! Until then... we're looking forward to a positive and strong 2020-21 season

24.01.2022 IMPORTANT - News regarding 2020/2021 Nipper Season. With COVID restrictions in place only qualified persons can assist on the beach at Nippers. A qualified person has completed either the:... officials course squad leaders/age manager course bronze medallion Referencing also that its a SLSNSW requirement, Nipper parents with no qualification can not be in the sanctioned area or participate. We must ensure all people/parents who are at the beach assisting Nippers this season are all accredited correctly prior to being on the beach. Each age group will require additional assistance this season. The easiest qualification (2 hours via Zoom) is the squad leader/age manager course. We highly recommend all Nipper parents hold the qualification as it provides a wider understanding of SLS. Completing the course does not mean you will be required to become a squad leader. The Sydney Branch of SLS have endeavoured to simplify the squad leader course by providing two ZOOM opportunities on: 21st Sept - 6.45 till 8.45 24th Sept - 6.45 till 8.45 These sessions are available to assist parents and clubs. If you are attending the course please comment below AND email [email protected] to register. Here are the links: Monday 21st September 6.30 onwards https://slsnsw.zoom.us/j/91029569451 Thursday 24th September 6.30 onwards https://slsnsw.zoom.us/j/96219774151 To successfully sit the squad leader course you need to be a financial members (general parent membership is fine $50). If you are not a member you may Zoom into the course and sort membership on the weekend. print out the attached SLSA Age Mgr Workbook, and complete this booklet (in writing) during the ZOOM Session and then bring the workbook to the club and hand to the office marked to the attention of Nippers. Alternatively to the Nipper Room on the 1st week of Nippers. Regarding the usual squad Leader/Age Mgr course run in late October we will await to see if these are actually required this season. Please note: The course in Compulsory for all new and existing squad leaders and highly recommended for parents. If on the other hand you are interested in completing your bronze please comment below and phone the NC office on 9523 5846 https://www.surflifesaving.com.au//slsa-age-managers-asses
