19.01.2022 FAIRY CARPET OF CAMELLIA FLOWERS greets me most mornings at this time of the year. It is my favourite mulch. I rake up a couple of wheelbarrows full from just the footpath most mornings. A wonderful gift from one part of the garden to another part of the garden.

17.01.2022 It's goose egg season here at Nirvana Organic Farm. While most are left to hatch we are able to enjoy a few now.They are delicious as omelettes, scrambled or boiled.

12.01.2022 A sad day at Nirvana Organic Farm with the passing of Kelpie/ collie, Frank. He was our constant companion for the past 14 years. His gentle nature and soft coat made him very popular with visitors. Although his long coat meant he became an avid seed collector, he also collected basketry material and various sticks as he followed us around. He was protective of his charges , the geese and chooks, always looking out for them, or just sitting with them. A skill he has passed onto kelpie Mika.

09.01.2022 So sad for Kym and family we send you our love. Our land is so vulnerable and the losses are heart breaking for all the love and care that is put into the land as well as the extra magic and energy you find on a biodynamic property. I know the whole of the Adelaide Hills is sitting on a fire timebomb. You only have to look around drought and continuing hot weather, cool climate crops cooking before being harvested, many not making it through to next season....and that's before a fire rushes through damaging people and crops. Its going to be a long summer so everyone take care and send hope, love and good wishes to all those affected by this fire but also those in other parts of Australia who are suffering in the same way.

07.01.2022 I have closed the Nirvana Organic Google Business Listing as I am tired of answering calls about PICK YOUR OWN Strawberries, Cherries and Apples. We do not grow any of these crops and also don’t believe in PYO. We want to produce quality raspberries and chestnuts and after putting all the effort into growing a crop the last thing we want is untrained amateurs in the orchards. Today I’ve had several calls about PYO cherries. A day that is a TOTAL FIRE BAN with Severe rating and 40 degrees!!!!!!! What Idiots there are out there and they can’t read either. For the record our farm shop is closed on total fire ban days and we sell only harvested Quality raspberries and chestnuts when they are in season.
