25.01.2022 We have had some spots open up for our 3D printing workshops happening this coming Saturday (August 22) as part of the Indigenous Science Experience. These workshops are suitable for students in Years 5/6 ONLY. Please do not register your child unless they are in the right age bracket. In this workshop your child will be designing their own bubble wand that we will then print for them using a 3D printer. They will learn about the use of 3D printers including by remote Indigen...ous communities to produce interesting and useful objects and products. While making their bubble wand your child will be exploring Indigenous words that describe their bubble wand design. After the workshop we will be posting you your child’s bubble wand so please provide your address details during registration. Tickets are free but seats are limited RSVPs are essential. The CSIRO is currently recruiting for the 'Young Indigenous Women's STEM Academy' and is seeking eligible applicants to have the opportunity to be mentored by a dedicated CSIRO Academic Coordinator while working towards a career in the diverse fields of STEM. The Academy is specifically for young First Nations women who are interested in going to university and studying to work in STEM.
