25.01.2022 Thank you so much to our dear customers who visited us last week.
23.01.2022 This is our WA COVID-19 update for Sunday, 28 June 2020. ---- - Current cases -... One new active case of COVID-19 has been detected in Western Australia overnight. The States total cases is now 609, with five active cases. All five active cases involve returned travellers, and all five remain in hotel quarantine. To date, 595 people have recovered from the virus in WA. To date there have been 174,330 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 30,698 were from regional WA. Note: an updated breakdown of cumulative COVID-19 tests performed in WA will be released on Monday. ---- - Phase 4 and the updated WA roadmap to easing restrictions - Phase 4 of eased restrictions is now in effect. Phase 4 is another giant step out of COVID-19 restrictions, with Western Australia miles ahead of the rest of the country when it comes to relaxing rules and restrictions. In line with expert health advice, the following changes are now in place: - All existing gathering limits, and the 100/300 rule, have been removed. Gathering limits are now determined by WAs reduced 2sqm capacity rule; - The 2sqm rule includes staff only at venues that hold more than 500 patrons; - Removal of seated service requirements at food businesses and licensed premises; - Alcohol can be served as part of unseated service arrangements; - No requirement to maintain patron register at food businesses and licensed premises; - All events are permitted except for large scale, multi-stage music festivals; - Unseated performances are permitted at venues such as concert halls, live music venues, bars and pubs; - Gyms can operate without staff present, but regular cleaning must be maintained; - The casino gaming floor has reopened under agreed temporary restrictions; and - Optus Stadium, HBF Park and RAC Arena can operate at 50 per cent temporary capacity. Under Phase 4 the temporary capacity of Optus Stadium is 30,633 for sport events (35,000 for concerts), HBF Park is 10,150 (16,500 for concerts), and RAC Arena is 7,150 (8,250 for concerts). Our phased approach has allowed us to get more Western Australians back to work and into more social and recreational activities, as together we continue to kick-start WAs economy. Western Australias COVID-19 restrictions will be relaxed even further as WAs roadmap is updated with Phases 5 and 6 to complete the removal of all restrictions. Depending on infection rates locally, Phase 5 is planned to be introduced on Saturday, July 18 and will result in the removal of the 2sqm rule. It is also expected to see the removal of all gathering restrictions, other COVID-related rules introduced by the State Government and the 50 per cent capacity limit for major venues. Phase 6 will include the removal of WAs hard border with the rest of the country and travel restrictions currently in place for remote Aboriginal communities. When an indicative date for Phase 6 is set in the future, it will be contingent on locally acquired infection rates in the Eastern States. To find out more, and to view WAs roadmap, please visit www.wa.gov.au/covid19roadmap ---- - Testing - Anyone in WA will now be assessed for a COVID-19 test if they present with ANY of the following: - a fever of 37.5C or above - a documented history of a fever in the last few days OR - an acute respiratory infection (e.g. shortness of breath, cough, sore throat) If you have these symptoms, please get tested, and help us identify every case of COVID-19 in WA as early as possible. - COVID clinics - Nine COVID clinics are now operational visit https://healthywa.wa.gov.au/Articles/A_E/COVID-clinics to find your local COVID clinic. The clinics now open are at: - Royal Perth Hospital (Ground Floor, Ainslie House, 48 Murray Street) - Fiona Stanley Hospital (Allied Health 2, Gymnasiums, East End, Bedbrook Row) - Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (C Block, Hospital Avenue) - Armadale Health Service (Ground Floor, 3056 Albany Highway, Mount Nasura) - Rockingham General Hospital (Elanora Drive, Cooloongup) - Midland COVID Clinic: Front of St John of God Midland Hospital (access only via Yelverton Drive) - Joondalup COVID Clinic: Ground floor Joondalup Hospital (Car park P4, Regents Park Road - Enter via outside walkway between Specialist Medical West and Physiotherapy Department) - Bunbury Health Campus (Corner Bussell Highway and Robertson Drive, Bunbury) - Broome Hospital (Robinson Street, Broome) In other regional areas, people should go to a public hospital, health service or remote health clinic. Please call ahead if you are concerned that you have contracted COVID-19. Patients will be assessed and where appropriate tested, provided with appropriate information and referred for further medical treatment if necessary. Those individuals who are tested and well enough, will be asked to self-isolate while they await test results. Anyone who is confirmed to have COVID-19, who does not require hospitalisation will be required to stay in self-isolation as instructed by the public health team. It is also extremely important that people who are unwell and are concerned they have COVID-19 should immediately self-isolate and then seek further medical advice. - Respiratory clinics - Respiratory clinics are now open in Western Australia. Operating out of an existing GP clinic, the clinic will assess people who have mild to moderate symptoms and is part of the Federal Governments roll out of dedicated respiratory clinics being set up across Australia. More information and locations can be found here: https://www.health.gov.au//coronavirus-covid-19-gp-respira - Additional testing locations - Patients with a GP referral can also be tested at 11 private pathology collection centres across the metropolitan area. Clinipath, Western Diagnostics and Australian Clinical Labs have dedicated these collection centres for COVID-19 testing. People in regional and remote areas can continue to present to more than 100 public hospitals, health services or remote area health clinics for testing. The collection centres are: - Western Diagnostic Pathology - Duncraig, Myaree, Rockingham - Australian Clinical Labs - Booragoon, Mandurah, Ocean Reef, Subiaco - Clinipath - Cloverdale, Fremantle, Joondalup, West Leederville ---- - Closure of the WA border - Western Australias borders are closed to travel from interstate. An exempt traveller, who will be allowed into our State, must perform one of the following functions: - Health services - Emergency services - Transport, freight and logistics - Specialists skills, not available in WA, for industry or business continuity; - National or State security and governance; and - Courts and judicial services. There are also exemptions for FIFO workers and their families, however strict 14-day quarantine measures will need to be followed, when they first enter the State. Further exemptions will also apply on compassionate grounds. More information and a list of exemptions can be found at www.wa.gov.au/covid19www.wa.gov.au/covid19 If you are aware of someone breaching a requirement to self-isolate - please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or WA Police on 131 444. ---- While we are taking action to ease restrictions in Western Australia in line with expert health advice, we are also continuing to ensure that our State is ready for any future outbreaks of COVID-19 in Western Australia. The Western Australian health system and our hospitals are very well prepared to manage infectious disease situations and have well established systems and processes in place. The State Government is taking this very seriously and we need to remain prepared for a pandemic. Every action we take and decision we make is to protect Western Australians. It is important that we all continue to remain calm, vigilant and use common sense. The best thing we can do to protect ourselves is quality personal hygiene and exercise physical distancing by avoiding unnecessary personal contact. That includes covering coughs and sneezes, washing hands often with soap or sanitiser, staying home from work or school if unwell, avoiding shaking hands or hugging, and maintaining physical distance from others in public. Please also continue to follow the advice of authorities and doctors - anyone who is instructed to self-isolate must take the order seriously, stay home and not put others at risk. ---- Official information regarding COVID-19 in Western Australia - www.wa.gov.au/covid19 WA Department of Health information www.healthywa.wa.gov.au National Coronavirus Helpline 1800 020 080 WA COVID-19 health and information and advice - 13 COVID (13 26843) Smartraveller information regarding travel advice for Australians - www.smartraveller.gov.au

21.01.2022 Yesterday we announced WAs roadmap for easing the remaining COVID-related restrictions in our State. As we outlined, this will involve three further phases. Th...anks to our relaxed restrictions, WA is already the most economically free and active State in Australia. But, crucially, Western Australians are able to be confident that they can safely enjoy the new freedoms and support local businesses, while continuing to listen to health advice around physical distancing and good personal hygiene. In line with expert health advice, Phase 4 will commence this Saturday 27 June. As part of Phase 4, from Saturday, the follow changes will occur: All existing gathering limits and the 100/300 rule will be removed. Gathering limits will only be determined by WAs reduced 2sqm capacity rule; The 2sqm rule will include staff only at venues that hold more than 500 patrons; Removal of seated service requirements at food businesses and licensed premises, meaning Western Australians can once again enjoy a beer while standing at a pub or bar; No requirement to maintain patron register at food businesses and licensed premises; All events will be permitted except for large scale, multi-stage music festivals; Unseated performances will be permitted at venues such as concert halls, live music venues, bars and pubs; Gyms can operate unstaffed, but regular cleaning must be maintained; and The casino gaming floor reopening under agreed temporary restrictions. For WAs major sport and entertainment venues, a 50% capacity rule will apply. Therefore, under Phase 4 the temporary capacity of Optus Stadium will be 30,633 for sport events (35,000 for concerts), HBF Park can hold 10,150 (16,500 for concerts), RAC Arena can hold 7,150 (8,250 for concerts). Following that, Phase 5 of easing restrictions is expected to take effect on Saturday 18 July, pending expert health advice. Phase 5 will include removing ALL State restrictions except for the hard border with the eastern states and travel restrictions for remote Aboriginal communities. That will include the removal of the 2sqm rule and the 50% capacity rule for our major venues. Phase 6 will then remove those remaining State restrictions, with only Federal restrictions, such as the ban on international travel, remaining in place at that point. An indicative date for Phase 6 will be set in the future, when its safe to do so. That date will take into account locally acquired infection rates in the eastern states. To be clear - the WA hard border will only be removed when the WA Chief Health Officer is confident the spread of infection is controlled in the eastern states. Phase 4 is another giant step for WA were confident its the right step, at the right time. However, Western Australians must continue to keep up physical distancing where possible and good personal hygiene to better protect themselves and the general health of our community. We need to remain vigilant. We must take nothing for granted. We need to all understand that if you are unwell, dont try be a hero and still go to work. Its simply not worth it. Because if we have an uncontrolled outbreak, we will have to place restrictions back on. And I cannot be clearer on this I dont want to even contemplate that scenario.

17.01.2022 In the past two days, a total of nine new COVID-19 cases have been detected in Western Australia - with three new cases today in addition to the six yesterday. ...But while that is a significant increase to our low numbers, it also shows that our system is working. The fact is that all 12 of our active cases involve Australians who have returned from overseas and all 12 remain in hotel quarantine. It has been 86 days since we a community based infection of COVID-19 in Western Australia - despite well over 150,000 Western Australians being tested in that time. That includes our DETECT program testing well over 10,000 asymptomatic Western Australians to look for any undetected community spread. This shows that our measures are working - particularly our hard border. But the increase in cases also shows why we need to stay vigilant, make sure our borders remain secure, and make sure that our quarantine arrangements remain manageable. Thats why today I announced three measures to continue to protect our borders, including: - Changing the arrangements so that returning travellers in hotel quarantine will be billed for the cost of their quarantine - Requesting that the Federal Government limits the number of international flights arriving in Western Australia, ideally to one every three days, and - Imploring the Federal Government to end their support for Clive Palmers reckless High Court challenge to our hard border These measures will help to ensure that our hard borders remain effective. Western Australians should be incredibly proud of how our State has responded to this challenge. But as always, we must remain vigilant and follow the advice of our health experts. That means continuing to exercise healthy hygiene and physical distancing where possible, as well as following the current restrictions. Thank you WA.
17.01.2022 I’m sure this won’t come as much of a surprise, but we’ve delayed the tentative start date for Phase 5 by at least a further two weeks. While our State has an o...utstanding record on containing cases of COVID-19 to travellers in hotel quarantine, and a strong testing regime, we simply must remain cautious with these decisions as we have all through this process. As a nation, we are on high-alert. There is no need to take unnecessary risks. We will continue to monitor the situation in other States, and we will make the decision to proceed to Phase 5 when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, let's all remain vigilant - maintaining good personal hygiene, keeping a distance from others where possible, staying home when sick and getting tested if you have symptoms.

08.01.2022 The benefits of Western Australias success in managing COVID-19 were on display over the weekend - you all deserved it. People are back in work and our economy... is recovering, as life gets back to normal, under the watchful eye of our health experts. But we dont need to look far to know that the threat of COVID-19 is far from gone - the situation in Victoria is a sobering reminder of how easily the virus can start spreading through the community. Its also a timely reminder of how important our own hygiene and habits are to stopping it in its tracks. While our hard state and international borders are essential to keep the virus at bay, our most effective defence is our own personal vigilance. We all have a personal responsibility to do the right thing, now more than ever. With almost no restrictions left inside WA, we need to ensure we keep each other safe. Its pretty simple: Wash your hands regularly, with soap or sanitiser and for at least 20 seconds. Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze using a tissue or flexed elbow. Stay home if youre sick - no excuses. Avoid unnecessary contact like handshakes or hugs. Wherever possible, try to keep physical distancing. It isnt always possible, but it is important that we continue to give each other space when we can - especially people we dont know. And most importantly, please get tested if you have a cough, a sore throat or a fever - if the virus is in the community, we need to know as soon as possible. All of these actions wont just keep you and your family safe, they keep the whole community safe, and help keep any future outbreaks of COVID-19 under control. And that will mean that we can have the confidence to keep doing the things we love and keep the good times going. Cheers WA!
08.01.2022 This is our WA COVID-19 update for Monday, 13 July 2020. ---- - Current cases -... The Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight, leaving the States total at 635. There are 20 active COVID-19 cases in Western Australia all in hotel quarantine. 15 of those cases are from WA, and five are from interstate. To date, 606 people have recovered from the virus in WA. So far there have been 209,072 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 36,281 were from regional WA. ---- - Testing - Anyone in WA will now be assessed for a COVID-19 test if they present with ANY of the following: - a fever of 37.5C or above - a documented history of a fever in the last few days OR - an acute respiratory infection (e.g. shortness of breath, cough, sore throat) If you have these symptoms, please get tested, and help us identify every case of COVID-19 in WA as early as possible. Patients will be assessed and where appropriate tested, provided with appropriate information and referred for further medical treatment if necessary. Those individuals who are tested and well enough to return home, will be asked to self-isolate while they await test results. Anyone who is confirmed to have COVID-19, who does not require hospitalisation will be required to stay in self-isolation as instructed by the public health team. ---- - Closure of the WA border - Western Australias borders are closed to travel from interstate. Western Australias border with the east coast have been hardened even further given the serious situation in Victoria. Exemptions for all people who have been in Victoria in the last 14 days have been tightened, building on the existing COVID-19 protection measures for WA. No one is allowed into Western Australia if they have been in Victoria in the previous 14 days, unless they meet the new exemption list. The number of exemptions have been reduced significantly, meaning only specific essential workers, transport and freight workers and those persons approved by the State Emergency Coordinator, on the advice of the Chief Health Officer, will be permitted to enter WA. In addition, everyone who is permitted to enter WA, who has been in Victoria for the previous 14 days, will be served with a notice on arrival compelling them to take a COVID-19 test on Day 11 of their time in WA or at any point when symptoms develop. Under the State of Emergency, the WA Police Force will continue to perform checks on arrivals and have the power to enforce the COVID-19 test requirement with a fine of $5,000. For states other than Victoria, an exempt traveller who will be allowed into our State, must perform one of the following functions: - Health services - Emergency services - Transport, freight and logistics - Specialists skills, not available in WA, for industry or business continuity; - National or State security and governance; and - Courts and judicial services. There are also exemptions for FIFO workers and their families, however strict 14-day quarantine measures will need to be followed, when they first enter the State.
