21.01.2022 Reflecting on a few years ago when I presented at Hilton Adelaide. I have missed these events and now with covid restrictions easing (cross fingers), I am able to book presentations again in the work place. I can't wait to share with you my exciting Nutrition adventures. If you would like or know of anyone that would like me to come into their workplace, please message me

21.01.2022 Yesterday I posted a picture of the front of a rice packet. It was completely misleading as it stated that rice contained <1g of sugar. Here is a bit of education Ms SunRice on your product... Sugars include - glucose, fructose, lactose, sucrose, maltose, starch etc etc... ie. there are a lot of names for sugars depending on the size of the molecules. However, yours is a pretty basic one.... 'starch' which is made up of a lot of glucose molecules all joined together. The function of the gut is to break these apart so glucose can cross the gut wall into the blood stream. Yes that's right.... rice contains a lot of sugar called glucose. In fact per 1/3 of cup it contains 55.2g which equates to around 13 tsps! That is according to your nutrition panel that not too many understand! Seriously! We need better labeling would you agree?

13.01.2022 Does anyone know what is misleading about the information given on the front of this packet of rice? (this is a re-post from last year so no cheating).

07.01.2022 Insulin is a hormone that unlocks the cell to allow glucose to travel 'inwards' to be stored as energy and/or converted to fat. As long as there is insulin in the blood stream, your cells will not release your fat stores. This is why lowering glucose levels is one of the key things for weight loss. To put simply - high refined sugars and carbs release insulin so glucose can be stored as fat (mostly) on our body. To release fat stores we must stop insulin from being released and the best way to do this is to stop eating excessive sugars and carbohydrates.

05.01.2022 Is this in your fridge? Advertised as healthy.... many are shocked when I tell them to clean it out of their fridge and to never eat again! Any idea why this is not a good choice?
