You want to move from the side of the road into traffic, you must indicate: a) for one second and gi...ve way to all traffic b) only for approaching vehicles c) for at least 5 seconds and give way to all traffic d) for at least 3 seconds and give way to all traffic TEST ANSWER: c) If you want to move off from the side of the road, you must signal for at least 5 seconds before moving from a parked position. 05.01.2022 Using a hand-held mobile phone while driving or waiting at traffic lights is illegal and distracting - you face a fine, but worse, with the distraction you risk... crashing and injuring or killing yourself or someone else. A mobile phone may only be used while driving: if it is secured in a commercially manufactured and designed mounting which is fixed to the vehicle and does not obscure the driver’s view of the road, or if it can be operated by the driver without touching any part of the phone, for example using Bluetooth technology or voice activation. While driving, a mobile phone cannot: rest on the driver’s leg, between the shoulder and ear, in the hand, or on any other part of the driver’s body, or be used for text messaging, video messaging, emailing or similar. Drivers can only use a hand-held mobile phone if their vehicle is parked in an authorised parking spot. They cannot use a hand-held mobile phone while stopped at traffic lights. Drivers may use the navigational or GPS function and audio functions of a phone while driving, provided the phone is secured in a commercially manufactured and designed mounting which is fixed to the vehicle and does not obscure the driver’s view of the road. #traffictuesday

03.01.2022 #QuizTime - in what order should the cars go? #QuizAnswer - the give way sign for the red vehicle makes this the terminating road of the T-intersection, with th...e yellow and blue vehicles on the continuing road which curves. Blue must give way to yellow as it is effectively crossing a lane of oncoming traffic to enter a new road, while red goes last as it is turning right from the terminating road and facing a give-way sign and line.
