03.01.2022 Hey awesome NKRC Members and Friends. We hope everyone is looking forward to racing this weekend and it looks like we have a few first time racers which is awesome. A couple of pointers for first timers out there. Be sure to read everything in the links below, there is some very handy information and links to the Supplementary Regulations, scrutineering forms and covid-19 declaration. The sup regs have all the information about the race including what fuel to use and wher...e to buy it, what tyres to use, what time to get your kart scrutineered etc Be sure to keep your fuel receipt as you may be asked to produce this at some point throughout the day. Although the scrutineering form is now online (to be completed before 5pm Saturday) as a P plater you will still need to get your kart and equipment checked by the KA technical officer. To do this you will need to be at the out grid at 7am with your kart, helmet and all of your driving gear. You will also need a transponder and provide the transponder number on your scrutineering form. If you do not have a transponder you can hire one from the club but please do so by COB Saturday. Be sure to have a red P plate attached securely to the back of your kart. The race order will be displayed on the building near the out grid. Be aware of the two classes in front of you as when you see that class go on track, it is time for you to be on at the back of the out grid. Learn all your flags and listen to the officials and volunteers and remember the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask. The most important thing to remember is have fun and stay safe. If anyone else has some pointers for new racers please put them in the comments section below. http://www.kansw.com.au//newcastle-club-championship-rnd-/ http://www.kansw.com.au//Newcastle-Approved-Supplementary- https://kartingaustralia.wufoo.com//ka-scrutineering-reco/ https://kartingaustralia.wufoo.com//covid19-declaration-n/
