24.01.2022 As we continue in Matthew 5, we hope you have found opportunities this week to "pass the salt" and "turn on the light!"

23.01.2022 As we continue encouraging everyone to take a journey through 1 Peter, David joins us today to provide his reflections on 1 Peter 4 as we look at this chapter today. Hope this time spent in 1 Peter is a blessing to you all. https://youtu.be/xEb9Ftjksyc

22.01.2022 Don't forget the "Bethlehem Bakery" this Sunday. Join us for a bakery lunch (eat in or take-away) after church raising funds for the Capital Healing Rooms. Why 'Bethlehem' Bakery....see if you can find out what "Bethlehem" means and it will all become clear.

20.01.2022 This Friday night, we have the return of gourmet burger night at New Life Community church. This time we'll also be serving thickshakes for the full "burger and shake" experience. Dairy free sorbet desserts will be available for those who are dairy free. For those eating in, we'll also have hand cut chips but take away is available also. There's still time to get your orders in!... No cost for this event as this is fundraising for Barnabas. We thank you for joining us and for your contribution if you are able to contribute to this cause. See more

20.01.2022 How often can we be tempted to feel like we are alone? Praise God that we can rejoice in the knowledge that we are never alone. Just as God promised Joshua that he would never be alone, we can be assured God is always with us and 'no one can snatch' us from His hand (John 10:28).

19.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dCpZ4UM_rw New song from Sunday, and Joel's story of how he wrote it!

19.01.2022 If your week is distinctly lacking ukulele and banjo, our Sunday worship from the 2nd of August featured not one, but two ukuleles and an accompanying banjo. Join Emily, Bec and Neil for some moving worship as well as Neil back again to remind us about God seeking to have His way in our lives and a timely reminder from Pastor Frances about Hope https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SdYkPyaoL4

19.01.2022 As the warm sun cuts through a foggy morning in Young, it's great to be reminded of how God shines His light into our lives, even when not everything is clear. To enjoy some socially distant worship with Bill in your own home, work or wherever you happen to be today - our service from the 9th of August is online here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeLBHEcUwBk ...and don't forget to tune in for Brady's communion message on change and Emily's message on light. Some wonderful encouragement this week.

18.01.2022 Here's our new song that has jumped to the front of the line to introduce at New Life! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7Grk96cCVg

18.01.2022 This week we encouraging everyone to read through 1 Peter. We are speaking to 5 members of our church family to talk about what the 5 chapters of 1 Peter say to them. Today, Tina points us to some things to consider when reading 1 Peter Chapter 1. https://youtu.be/pn8pVotKCAU

18.01.2022 Even in the presence of rain and cold weather, God shines His light, warmth and life into our lives. Great time to revisit our service from the 16th of August. Hear a communion message from Luke 24 from Bec, a message of healing from guest Martyn and some warming worship led by Emily, Bruce and Jenny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HHCYxfD1Jg

16.01.2022 Frequently in the Bible we have the contrast of the Israel and "the nations." Also, we frequently have "the nations" (or an individual nation) battling against Israel. This can lead us to believe whenever there is a conflict in the Bible it is "the rest of the world" against Israel. However, in this week's session of our "walk through the Bible chronologically," we are looking at the time when the nation Israel split into two Kingdoms (the Northern Kingdom (Israel) and Southe...rn Kingdom (Judah)). Here we have God's chosen people split in two after the death of Solomon. And not only that, we have one scene where the Prophet Elijah goes against King Ahab (ruler of Israel) and the prophets of Baal. These are the people of the Northern Kingdom of Israel who have turned from God to idol worship and are set up in a 'contest' between God and Baal. We invite you to join us in this study of I Kings as we continue to walk through the Bible in one year. https://youtu.be/Jj5bdAyZLFM

16.01.2022 We love having members of our extended church family visit. Thank you to Matthew and Kathy for visiting us this week and Matthew for bringing us a great message on "New Life." If you missed it, it is not only a great message of encouragement but an opportunity to refresh yourself on the history of the town of Young. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjFRnRlkqRk

16.01.2022 As we live this day and head into our weekend, may we do so in the power and knowledge of Christ. That is knowing we needn't ever believe that "I can't do that" but rather remember that when we walk in the fullness of God's light and love:

15.01.2022 We're working on memorising Psalm 100 as a church, so that we can meditate on these truths all week!

15.01.2022 Our good friends Martyn and Ros from Capital Healing Rooms in Canberra have a YouTube Channel. Already full of some encouraging messages from Martyn - including a multi-part short video series on "Life Lessons from the Cockpit" - it is well worth having a look at. May you be inspired today by messages of hope and encouragement from the Capital Healing Rooms. ***And don't forget to like, share and subscribe to their channel! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtw7yGI5-5hpmSP7owNQjuw

14.01.2022 What a wonderful service we were blessed with this week! If you would like to hear a wonderful message from Nathan on shame, our service is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ0uw2azSWM You can also be encouraged with some worship from Bec and Tina and a communion message from Pastor Frances reminding us of the preciousness of celebrating communion. Be blessed church!

14.01.2022 Today, in fact any day would be a great day to see or revisit our Sunday service from last week (30th of August). See some great encouragement from Sean, worship with Emily, Phoebe-Anna, Bruce and Jenny and join with Frances as she brings us a message on jealously. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URtZ_xRsnQ0

13.01.2022 A great message from Pastor Frances this week drew our attention to 1 Peter 1:13 and reminded us to gird up the loins of our minds, to be sober and rest our hope fully on the grace of Jesus Christ. Hopefully the attached insights from our sermon this week provides you insight into how we ensure that we gird up the loins of your mind - and how you would gird your loins in the classical sense as well.

13.01.2022 A great time to revisit the wonderful service from Sunday the 26th of July. If you would like to revisit our memory verse, listen to Emily's speak on salt and the covenant of salt or Trevor's communion message, our message is available with some wonderful worship led by Edwin and Neil here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9AwFnx5m3s

11.01.2022 After a bit of a hiatus, we are encouraging everyone to continue reading through 1 Peter. Today we are looking at Chapter 3 and Tom shares some thoughts on this chapter as we continue this exploration in 1 Peter. https://youtu.be/2fxS1Vu5V2E

10.01.2022 If you missed the message at our service this week, you can see it on our YouTube channel. This week, Emily brings us a message to New Life Community Church for "this moment." Whether watching for the next time or revisiting the message, our hope is you would be blessed in this message. See this and more encouraging content from our Church on the New Life Community Church YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KowJVUFsTj8

10.01.2022 We hope you have been blessed this week as we read through 1 Peter. Today we are looking at 1 Peter Chapter 2. As we continue through 1 Peter this week, Leanne joins us to reflect on 1 Peter Chapter 2. https://youtu.be/fgdxKDIPt4w

10.01.2022 As we walk through this week, it's a great time to revisit the message from our guest from last Sunday's service. Michael describes his message as a "rhema word" for the "wider body of Christ." Whether you wish to join with Emily and Edwin in worship or sit with Frances' communion message, may you be blessed this day and every day though our risen Lord Jesus Christ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkYjTQJPOoA

09.01.2022 Blessings to you all this week. Have you ever been encouraged by someone's strength of conviction? This week, Tom walks through the book of Jonah and looks at how his frequent description as "the prodigal prophet" can hide that Jonah's ministry saw all he met in the book of Jonah come to worship God. This week, perhaps choose to journey through Jonah - or another book of the Bible - with a mind to take a fresh look at God's word. https://youtu.be/8AdHnI4qQcw

09.01.2022 Why not spend this week going through 1 Peter? 1 Peter is a small, 5 chapter book - 1 chapter for every day of the working week. Spurred on and encouraged by Emily's message of hope this week, may you all be strengthened in Christ by the message she brought this week and the invitation to take a fresh look at 1Peter.

08.01.2022 This week, we started a program to "Walk through the Bible in one year." This is a chronological study of the Bible from Genesis 1 to Revelation 21. This week's session was an introduction to this program. We hope you will join us as we make our way through God's word this year. The group is meeting at 7:15am at New Life Community Church, McDonnels Road Young in the Bethany building every Monday morning. ... We will also try to record each session for those who can't make it or miss a session and want to follow along at home. This will be on our New Life Community Church YouTubr channel. May you be blessed and encouraged by our first session: https://youtu.be/8leya3WBclA See more

06.01.2022 John 1:5: "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it." May our study in Matthew 5 encourage you to let your light shine. Don't put your light under a basket, but let it put it on a stand and shine for all to see and glorify our Father in Heaven.

04.01.2022 Our Lord's house is open and welcoming this Sunday with church at 10:30am. As we come into church this week, here is some encouragement to come into the Lord's house with praise and worship, a look at the Psalms of ascent, sacraments and showing love with a face mask. https://youtu.be/LPxJkP2qZA8

04.01.2022 A great new addition to the Bethany Building is great news - especially for parents (or anyone else) who have to step outside for a moment during church. You can now also watch the service (LIVE) from the Bethany building! Thanks to Frances and the elders of New Life for this initiative for the families and we hope this is a blessing to everyone who visits the church. https://youtu.be/WAIt6Mwuzs8

02.01.2022 ...and don't forget out memory verse this week from Matthew 5:15-16. Shine God's light this week and don't keep it under a bowl!

02.01.2022 This week, our walk through the Bible in a year looks at II Samuel. From our last session, we began looking at multiple books at once and will do the same this week as we consider some of the Psalms as well as I Chronicles. This is the time of King David during a period of time often referred to as the 'united monarchy.' This will contrast sessions upcoming that will detail the time when the Kingdom splits. We pray you are blessed with this study. If you are new to the study, please feel free to contact us for the weekly session notes that accompany these weekly sessions. https://youtu.be/XrLtOUMTFRs

02.01.2022 Continuing in our study in Matthew 5 and "Salt and Light," Emily's verse for this week (Don't forget the actions!):
