24.01.2022 NLE HAS A NEW HOME! Our grower group has taken the next step on it's journey after moving into offices for the first time. The CEO has moved into a building in Subiaco, which is also home to a number of other Noongar organisations.... Godfrey House is located at 1 Roberts Road, Subiaco and the offices are leased from the Noongar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who manage the building. The heritage listed building was first erected in the 1913 and served the majority of it's life as the Resident Medical Officer's quarters for Princess Margaret Hospital. If you're in the area, we'd love to show you around!

24.01.2022 The Governor ventured into the Wheatbelt today to officially open Boola Boornap, the place of many trees, created by the Noongar Land Enterprise Group He comm...ended the NLE on its commitment to the regenerative agriculture industry, being the first Aboriginal grower group in Australia, and for their work in creating work for local Aboriginal people. I have so much hope attached to this nursery and the regenerative healing it will bring to our people and our land. I hope the beneficiaries feel an incredible sense of personal fulfillment when they look at the evolution of this tree nursery. I hope that your plans to diversify into Ngooka Honey and bush-foods production proves successful and that you continue to be motivated by environmental, cultural and social responsibility. Great to catch up with Senator Sue Lines, Wheatbelt Development Commission , Darren West MLC, WA Labor Member for the Ag Region and representatives from the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council. Also great to support the local economy by popping into Bakers Hill Pie Shop for a quick lunch on the way back to Government House

06.01.2022 Noongar Land Enterprise Group (NLE) official launch of Boola Boornap native tree farm The Governor of Western Australia, Kim Beazley along with Ballardong Elder, Deborah Moody and NLE Elder Maude Bonshore officially opened the NLE "Boola Boornap" - Place of Many Trees, Tree Farm Nursery on Wednesday 7 April. NLE commenced planting seedlings in mid-November 2020 utilising a predominately local Noongar workforce. Between November 2020 and February 2021, we have planted approx...imately 1 million seedlings, comprising over 50 species. The nursery currently has the capacity to produce 2 million seedlings per year, and with the proposed expansion this will increase the capacity to 3 million seedlings per year. The Governor commended the NLE on its commitment to the regenerative agriculture industry, being the first Aboriginal grower group in Australia, and for their work in creating work for local Aboriginal people. NLE Chair, Oral McGuire said The NLE has identified ‘looking after country’ (environmental management), cultural connectivity and rejuvenation, and wellbeing and healing as being interconnected in how our land assets are managed. While we are on a pathway to economic development, it is the environmental, cultural and social aspirations which provide the motivation and inspiration for our business aspirations." NLE "Boola Boornap" is now taking orders for production toward the end of 2021 so that these seedlings are ready for planting in June/July 2020.
