23.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE (business stuff) You may have noticed that there are a million teachers, coaches and facilitators of various kinds right now who have been rushing to offer some kind of online coronavirus resource. And you may also have noticed that I haven't. This isn't because I don't care. Far from it.... It's partly because I don't believe in racing to make rash decisions, especially when the times we're currently experiencing are here to stay for quite some time. Dig in, we're going to be here for a while. But it's mostly because a lot of what I've been seeing has no clear and specific value proposition, other than "here's a way to freak out a little less". Could I offer some tips in that regard? Sure I could, and I know that would be helpful for a lot of people. But there are a million other people all doing pretty much the same thing, and very few people are offering anything else of more specific and tangible value in these times. And there are exceptions, of course. James Lavers, Mark Walsh and Judy Rees are all doing great things helping people learn how to move their work and professional services online. Dan Moore has been posting a series of videos to help people who can't get to a bodyworker improve their mobility. Annmarie Beatty has been offering a bunch of tips for parents that are new to home schooling. All of these folks are offering tangible, high value expertise in helping people achieve something useful other than just how to mentally cope with the world as it is right now. But nothing in that class of value offering has immediately leapt to my mind as something I feel compelled to offer people at this time. And I have no intention whatsoever of changing the course of the business I've developed for many, many years to "general coronavirus support services" So while I will definitely be offering some online products and services at some point in the not too distant future (after all these years, it turns out all it took was a little apocalypse), I will only do so where I offer unique value - and only where I believe I can deliver that value to my satisfaction in an online format of some kind. There is zero chance of me running an online NLP Practitioner training, for example. And I have no intention of offering any kind of product or service whose inspiration or value is based solely or largely on the existence of COVID-19 There are plenty of those things out there already. Most are well intentioned but hastily slapped together. Some are great. And I never hesitate to recommend great resources to people. But I can recommend a restaurant without cooking you dinner. Stay home and take care of yourself. Maybe we can catch up over Zoom some time. Cheers, James

22.01.2022 HEADS UP folks: If you’re in or near Melbourne and you can get on to this quickly, you can learn one of the most spectacularly useful and high value NLP skills - for FREE - this Friday night. To the best of my knowledge there are only two spaces available at the time of me posting this, so if you’re keen then I recommend getting in touch with Amy Bell now

16.01.2022 Well this was a bit of a blast from the past ... Someone who attended some short courses with me many years ago found this welcome letter the other day. It’s amazing how time flies: after doing the math, I realised that this was 30 NLP Practitioner programs ago!
