12.01.2022 Sorry for the lack of content of late! Busy times for many reasons. While I am holding off on my next big announcement, I wanted to take a quick survey. Is there interest for my local (Australian) audience for hard copies if I organise a limited printed run of both Hearhtkin and The Gilded Rose? Price would be dependent on printing costs.

04.01.2022 Hearthkin, the first book in the Orphan of Karelmar series, has been slightly revised in the lead up to the launch of The Gilded Rose. The revised edition eBook will be available soon. For those who already own this copy, it will update as soon as it is available. For those who do not own a copy, my next post will contain a link for the book. 04.01.2022 Hi all, I wanted to put together a brief(ish) post to kick off 2019, addressing a few things I am working on in the coming 11+ months. The next Orphan of Karelmar novella.... Yes, it is coming. The writing and editing is done, and I have already teased you all with the cover art. I am working on one final component of it before readying it for release. Please stay tuned in the coming months. Will it be published or self-published? I initially did seek a publisher for this book. I have received one positive response for it, with an offer to publish. However, this offer came with a requirement I do not support - namely a request for me to make a payment to the publisher to initiate the publishing/marketing process. I strongly oppose vanity publishers who seek to profit from writers and authors who seek to make their way in the world. I will not now, nor ever, pay a 'publisher' to sell my book. Part of a publisher's business is to assess works and take on the risk of publication, and the cost of doing so should always rest with them. As a result, the next book will be published on Amazon, and rest solely in my control (unless a genuine publisher makes an offer). What else is going on in 2019? I am currently hard at work on 3 other projects, an historical work, the 'big' book, and a running series. An Historical Work? I am working on a local history book for the centenary of my primary school. This will be launched at the Centennial celebration of the school towards the end of the year. The 'big' Book? The big book, with the working title of 'An Empire Falls', is still chugging along. I intend to have the first full draft complete in June this year. A Running Series? Thanks to my fantastic Dungeons and Dragons crew, I have a never-ending supply of hilarious fantasy shenanigans to draw inspiration from. Their party's exploits will feature in an upcoming online series which is currently in the works and that I hope to have up and running in the next few works. Here is to a fantastic new year!
