24.01.2022 EQUESTRIAN AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCEMENT Earlier today, the Equestrian Australia (EA) Board announced that it had voluntarily appointed an administrator, in response t...o solvency concerns, following the re-allocation of Sport Australia high performance funding from EA to the Australian Institute of Sport. This will have minimal impact of Equestrian NSW, which is financially secure, has a stable Board and Office Team and is working towards the return of equestrian competitions post COVID-19. The Equestrian NSW Board wants to assure members, coaches and clubs that the current Gow Gates insurance cover will apply until 30 Jun 20 and appropriate cover will be in place ready for 1 Jul 20. Further details will be advised soon. FY2021 member renewals are going ahead with many members renewing before the extended 30 Sep 20 deadline, which is very much appreciated. Feedback is welcomed, so please call our office on 9620 2660 or email [email protected]. BRUCE FARRAR - Chief Executive Officer

09.01.2022 At a General Meeting held last night, the NNWSJC committee made the decision to proceed with the planning of an October Show. While this event will no longer be our annual 'World Cup Show', the committee aim to host the best event possible. If NSW Public Health Orders change and restrictions are tightened, or any other factors force the committee to cancel or postpone this event, all announcements will be made on Facebook. Stay tuned and let's keep our fingers (and toes) crossed!! Keep safe.

08.01.2022 It’s people like Joyce that make our sport what it is. Thanks for everything you do.

08.01.2022 On 19 Aug 20, NSW Health updated its Community Sport recommendations https://www.sport.nsw.gov.au//def/files/faqadvicesport.pdf. State Sporting Organisations ...(SSOs), including Equestrian NSW, were asked to cease activities that result in mixing of participants from different regions, with the region boundaries determined to suit individual sports. Equestrian NSW proposes to adopt the NSW Health regions shown on the link below. There are NSW and Sydney maps with the number of COVID-19 cases recorded to date in each region. https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//Pa/recent-case-updates.aspx This is not an exact science, so please apply common sense. The larger rural regions allow longer travel, whereas travel to and from the Greater Sydney regions (eg Western Sydney and South Western Sydney), with larger numbers of COVID-19 cases, carries a much higher risk that could result in community transmission If you need further details, please call the Equestrian NSW office on 9620 2660 or email [email protected]. 03.01.2022 The NNWSJC Committee are sad to announce that a decision has been made to cancel our 2020 Show Jumping Event set down for Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October. The increasing restrictions and border closures due to COVID-19 were taken into consideration when making this tough decision. The safety of our members, officials, all those involved and the wider community is our number one priority. We look forward to seeing you all back at AELEC in 2021. Regards...
