25.01.2022 Late lambs this year doing well, more rain would help.

25.01.2022 GT (red stripes for id) has got her lambs through 1st night and a kilometre away for fresh feed. Our Stud flock has doubled with 3 ewes to lamb.

25.01.2022 Our Gee Tee Wiltipolls arriving with the help of Ian Aberdeen and his great trailer. They maybe the last of the Stud sheep from Greg and John Toll of Gunbower after their 40 years developing a quality line of Wilshire s without horns. These sheep have great tasting meat, low fat and no strong smell that other breeds often have. No shearing they drop their fur like coat at the end of winter .No lice. No fly problems so they can keep tails on.

15.01.2022 Our first potential Stud lamb arrives.

14.01.2022 Time to set up the fox lights with lambing due to start next week. Australian Designed and invented, recommended by a shepherd with eight decades of enlightenment so we are hoping the sheep continue to camp in the protected zones. Apparently they learn fairly quickly to bed down in the protect areas. Time will tell.

14.01.2022 New Yards are getting a head start with the new race having adjustable v sides to stop sheep turning. Now that will be a great change.. Fire and storm damage had made sheep handling a challenge!

10.01.2022 New "Hudor" Rams arrive from Bill & Kirsten Frazer from Hamilton. They seemed to enjoy the 4 hour adventure home. I enjoyed my time spent at their property, good company and seeing their contented flock in various paddocks.
