20.01.2022 Although we’re extremely jealous of our regional guests we’re also greatful that we’ve been able to host and No. 92 hasn’t been sitting empty the past few months.... We’re so pleased Amber and Donna had such an enjoyable stay and that both have stated they will be back... Be patient Metro Melbourne our time will come. 20.01.2022 An amazing review we received from our last guests before COVID-19 hit. We can’t wait until the madness passes and we can welcome guests back to our property to enjoy all the highlights our beautiful town has to offer. We’re all in this together, the more we follow the government guidelines the sooner our lives can hopefully return to some form of normality....

19.01.2022 The recent announcement means we can now accept bookings within Victoria’s private gathering limits. We have just confirmed a booking for the Queens Birthday long weekend and look forward to hosting additional bookings for those seeking a change of scenery over the coming months....
18.01.2022 Deanne and her friends had a relaxing break in our beautiful town over the weekend. They are already planning another trip in Summer with their families...
16.01.2022 Our latest review is very detailed and provides an insight into what a stay at No. 92 entails. After a 10 day stay Michaelie and her husband are well equipped to tell it how it is. The floorboards referenced below were salvaged from the original part of the house which was built in the 1920’s. Although they are one of my favourite features in the property I do agree with Michaelie. If you’re planning on sneaking in after a late night at one of our many local pubs I can assure you the creaky boards will give you away every single time...
15.01.2022 The below Home Away advertisement popped up in my news feed this afternoon.... Does the property in the bottom left corner look familiar
14.01.2022 Tony and his family timed their family holiday perfectly with their last day being the day prior to Metropolitan Melbourne being placed into lockdown. They had an amazing time exploring our beautiful town with the grandkids enjoying the vast array of activities on offer. The below review is very satisfying and the reference to our level of cleanliness is a testament to Jeanette from House Proud and the exceptional level of service she provides time and time again...
14.01.2022 The biggest compliment we can receive is a repeat booking! Allison and her family and friends stayed with us over the Easter break and rebooked for 2022 before they had even checked out
13.01.2022 We are very excited for the opening of the updated Riverboat Dock in the coming days ....
11.01.2022 Lest We Forget. Today we remember the fallen, honour the brave and thank the survivor's......
11.01.2022 Echuca may have ranked #35 of the best 100 towns in Australia by the Australian Traveller organisation but it’s still our #1... #35 Echuca, VIC Any town that’s home to both The National Holden Motor Museum and The Great Aussie Beer Shed has to make our Top 100.... A step back in time, the historic town of Echuca sits proudly on the Murray River in Victoria and is known far and wide as the paddle steamer capital of Australia. The town is home to the Port of Echuca, which was built in 1860 and was the largest inland port in the country in its day. Restored in 1973 and now used to facilitate paddle steamer rides along the Murray, today the port is jam-packed with museums, replicas and buildings the footbridge has been authentically reconstructed using the original plans, and the Star Bar, once an illegal underground drinking hole, still stands, complete with the escape tunnel once used to dodge police. The lovely town of Moama is just over the other side of the Murray and a growing series of bike and walking tracks connect the two. As paddle steamers make silhouettes in the sunset on the river, it’s easy to forget what decade it is. While Echuca’s town centre almost brings you back to reality with its modern shops, hotels and eateries, its historic buildings, like the old post office with its circa 1870 clock tower, will keep you dreaming about years gone by. Where? // 236km (3hrs) north of Melbourne. Did you know? // Echuca an Aboriginal word meaning meeting of the waters (symbolising the junction of the Murray, Goulburn and Campaspe) was nominated in 1891 as a potential capital for Australia. https://www.australiantraveller.com/100-best-towns-in-aus/

10.01.2022 Our latest review from Amelia who spent some time away from home recently with her friends and family. They were a great group to host and we can’t wait to welcome them back in Summer...
09.01.2022 Although we’re missing spending time at No. 92 and the beautiful town of Echuca, we are pleased guests from regional areas have been allowed to visit. Once the announcement was made that regional restrictions were easing my phone did not stop with bookings and enquiries. Hang in there Metropolitan Melbourne our time will come and it will be so much more memorable after all we’ve been through to get there...... Below is the latest review from our lucky guests who stayed last weekend. They have assured us they will be back which is the biggest compliment we can receive....
07.01.2022 We’ve been blessed with some lovely guests throughout January. It’s amazing being able to hosts guests from all areas again and being a base for them to relax and rewind after a trying 12 months.
07.01.2022 Our latest review from Bianca and her family who took a break out from school holidays to spend some time together with family.
06.01.2022 We may have been quiet on Facebook the past month but haven’t been quiet at No. 92... Below are some of the reviews from our latest round of guests, we’ve been blown away by the lovely feedback. We are very fortunate that the border closure hasn’t impacted our bookings this time around. We feel deeply for the accommodation providers in Moama who have been severely impacted and encourage local border bubble residents to support them where they can. ... Once restrictions ease we’ll be sure to book a stay at one of the local cabin parks in Moama with our friends and family.
06.01.2022 Pretty happy to have been recognised as an AirBnb Superhost for a 6th consecutive term. Special thanks to the following local businesses, we couldn’t provide the level of service we do without their contributions: - The amazing Jeanette from House Proud... - The fabulous crew at Laundry Mates - Dean, Ben & the team at Pool Ezy We can’t recommend the above local businesses any higher, they have provided us with exceptional service since opening 12+ months ago.
05.01.2022 So much happening in town this weekend our Australia Day guests will be spoilt for choice...
05.01.2022 An amazing video showcasing some of the fabulous activities our beautiful town has to offer....
05.01.2022 NOVEMBER AVAILABILITY: Due to further cancellations as a result of COVID restrictions we now have availability from the 30/10 to 9/11. If you’re from regional VIC and would like a last minute getaway please PM.
05.01.2022 ECHUCA MOAMA ON THE MURRAY RIVERBOATS & RIVALRY Echuca was founded by one of the most enterprising characters of the early colonial days, an ex-co...nvict named Henry Hopwood In 1850 he bought a small punt, which operated across the Murray River near the Campaspe Junction. Originally known as 'Hopwood’s Ferry' the name was changed to Echuca as the town grew. Hopwood worked to establish a town, which eventually had a major influence on the development of the great inland river system. He built the Bridge Hotel in 1859 and helped found the Riverine Herald in 1863 When he died in 1869 he left a thriving town, where nothing existed 16 years earlier! At the centre of Echuca during its heyday was the huge red gum wharf built in 1865. Constructed from river red gum felled and milled locally, the Echuca wharf is over ten metres high This allows for variations in winter and summer river levels, allowing goods to be unloaded all year round. Built as part of the Echuca Port Complex between 1865 and 1867, the wharf was originally 92.4 metres long but was extended in 1877, 1879 and 1884 in response to the increased volume of river trade traffic It eventually reached an incredible 332 metres in length, but was reduced to 75.5 long during World War II. This is the length it remains to this day. In the 1870s the district supported a dozen mills cutting in excess of 1000 logs each week. Before long the two industries began to rely on each other. The riverboat days boomed at Echuca until the great depression of the 1890s. As the railways were extended in New South Wales and road transport improved, the river trade declined and the old wharf was defunct by the 1920s. Head across the mighty Murray River and the town of Moama awaits. When the settlement began in 1845, it was known as Maiden’s Punt, named after James Maiden punt owner, station manager, publican and post master. Three years later the village area was surveyed and lots were put up for sale when the town was renamed Moama, in 1851. Situated on the main cattle route from Southern New South Wales to the gold fields at Bendigo in the 1850s, the settlement became a cattle market and crossing place where big deals took place across the bar of Maiden’s Junction Inn There were BIG celebrations here in 1853 when Captain William Randell, the first person to travel upstream from Goolwa, arrived on the paddle steamer, Mary Ann. Randell’s arrival herald the boat building industry and river trade that bolstered Moama’s fortunes in years to come. Moama declined when the cattle market crashed in the late 1850s and competition from nearby Echuca increased. Unsurprisingly, James Maiden and Henry Hopwood were fierce rivals in business for years! These days, the historic port on the Victorian side of the river is home to the largest collection of paddle steamers in Australia. Many of them have been fully restored and offer daily cruises along with insights into the river trade from over 100 years ago! This historic port area, adjoining the wharf, is a living museum. Historic buildings, horse-drawn carriages, gravel roads, blacksmith and woodturner all creating a wonderful atmosphere recreating the 1800s. What else is there to do here? Experience the mighty Murray River on a river cruise, hire a houseboat, go fishing, swimming, paddle a canoe or try your hand at stand up paddle boarding. Wake up to clear country air and a chorus of birds. Explore nearby towns, magnificent red gum forests, wetlands and fauna parks. With golf, cycle trails, forest paths, an abundance of local attractions and excellent dining options - these historic twin towns, straddling the VIC/NSW border, have it all! Keen to visit? 04.01.2022 Whilst we’re not able to hosts guests from Metropolitan Melbourne we are grateful we can still host those from regional areas. Esther and her friend were lucky enough to be able to spend time relaxing in Echuca over the weekend.
04.01.2022 Sneak peak of the upgraded facilities down at the beautiful port area. The grassed area will be a nice spot for the kids to sit in Summer whilst enjoying a treat from the new kiosk .
02.01.2022 Maddie and her friends reside in regional Victoria and were therefore able to enjoy a relaxing break at No. 92 over the weekend. We hope the COVID restrictions start to ease over the coming months and we can return to Echuca along with some of our our Metropolitan guests. We miss our home away from home and the mighty Murray River...
01.01.2022 Our last guests were men of very few words judging by the below reviews... However the 5/5 star ratings that accompanied both reviews, speak for themselves... We are very pleased they both rated us as high as they did and enjoyed their stays... We’d welcome them and their families back at any time..
