11.01.2022 SARAH RUNDLES CHEMIST CIRCA 1900 IN MURPHY ST WANGARATTA. THIS FIRST BUILDING WAS BUILT BY HER HUSBAND CHARLES ALFRED RUNDLE IN 1860'S. HE WAS ONE OF GREAT LOCAL BUSINESSMAN IN EARLY WANGARTTA AND OWNED THE RUNDLES CHEMIST FOR MANY YEARS UNTIL HE PASSED AWAY IN 1896, WHEN SARAH AND THEIR SONS TOOK OVER. IN THE EARLY 1900S SARAH BUILT THE RUNDLE BUILDINGS THAT ARE STILL STANDING TODAY.
