25.01.2022 Self isolating. Always cooking. Tonight its duck and chanterelle risotto with homegrown broad beans. (Christer only has the chanterelles as I dont like the flavour).

25.01.2022 A little bit of our garden. We are getting closer to spring now and I can’t wait!

24.01.2022 A little bit of our garden. We are getting closer to spring now and I cant wait!

24.01.2022 Summer fruits. Loving our strawberries and looking forward to our red currants and blueberries, amongst other things! #bandb #stanleytas #tarkine #visittasmania

23.01.2022 Made goats cheese today. A bit of chilli in it this time.

23.01.2022 We are so grateful for this review from Robert, a lovely guest from Tasmania. He and his wife were celebrating their wedding anniversary and stayed with us for two nights. Such a wonderful ambassador.

21.01.2022 Looking forward to getting stuck into our new packet of chanterelles -

21.01.2022 Pretty in the evening. Happy Christmas!

20.01.2022 One of our guests arrived with a flash ride!

19.01.2022 With our big sister property The Ark Stanley boasting about her original pressed-metal ceiling, we didnt want to be left out. We have the same beautiful floral and dart pattern, with the egg and dart cornice. Just so lovely to gaze at, while laying on a luxurious King bed!

19.01.2022 Were really proud; 14 Tripadvisor Reviews and all of them are 5/5 Excellent. Loving them all but this one is particularly sweet.

18.01.2022 We are almost there.... Finally we have a white picket fence!

17.01.2022 A great looking frittata with homegrown spinach and local eggs. Just right for lunch on a cool and windy day.

17.01.2022 We can just imagine our Oscar in each of these, Purrfect...

16.01.2022 Oscar is always nearby when youre in the garden. Today was weeding time - around the beetroot then a little sugar cane mulch to suppress the weeds. Great day for it.

16.01.2022 We dont know whether to laugh or cry . Weve come to the end of the season now and have so many tomatoes!! Weve processed about 20kgs already for tomato sauce and chutney. Now we have to do more sauce and green tomato relish. Head down, bum up.

16.01.2022 Our new Neff wall oven was installed yesterday. We now must learn to use it! So many features - meat thermometer, steam assisted cooking, telescopic rails and, most importantly, Im loving the fold away oven door.

16.01.2022 Modified steps to make the journey to his food bowl easier - For our poor arthritic cat!

15.01.2022 We are very happy with our new video, taken by Hing and Esther of Aesop Media. Showcasing our lovely B&B in wonderful Stanley Tasmania. Take a look - https://vimeo.com/293539303

15.01.2022 Low tide. Always magnificent. #visitstanleytas #tasmaniasnorthwest #beautifuldestinations

14.01.2022 We wish everyone a joyous Christmas and hope the much needed light reaches you all today.

14.01.2022 We dont just walk doggies here in Stanley.

14.01.2022 A great day for smoking salmon - apricot, plum and maple syrup glaze. Cant wait to try and determine the best flavour!

13.01.2022 View from our our kitchen window today. Hoping for our new fence to be completed early next week.

13.01.2022 For the first time since the Commemorative pavers were completed in time for the Centenary of the landing at Gallipoli (2015), the Dawn Service on Thursday 25th... April 2019 will be held at this location at 6am. The main service at 8.45am will still be at the Cenotaph in Church Street. John Hammond has been in training with his bagpipe playing so he can be a part of both services. The Anzac day services are always emotional and having the dawn service at the location of Godfreys Beach on the foreshore with the rolling waves will add to the experience. Moby Dicks Breakfast Bar Stanley will be open immediately after the Dawn service with other businesses open for breakfast before and after main service. See more

12.01.2022 Back from holiday and now starting to deck the halls!

10.01.2022 Congratulations The Chocolate Gallery & Cafe on your two year anniversary!

10.01.2022 Thank you Marion for these wonderful flowers. As Marion says, you can just imagine the fairies coming out at night, hand painting the petals. Such a masterpiece, each and every one. #stanleytas #visitstanley #bandb #tarkine

10.01.2022 What a gorgeous creature and I love the view from our kitchen window of the majestic Stanley Hotel

09.01.2022 Blue Tongue is hanging around checking out the new planter box. Im sure hes eyeing off those strawberries .

08.01.2022 A little procreation going on at Noah’s.

07.01.2022 Oh we just can’t have anything nice. Oscar is so destructive. Or is it playful? I suppose dried strawberry runners do look a little like mice with tails. He’s just so happy in the garden, always something to do.

06.01.2022 Magical events like this (and the people here of course) make Stanley so special!

06.01.2022 Looking beautiful ...

05.01.2022 Looking forward to having a presence on this new website. A great thing for Stanley.

04.01.2022 A fantastic bed and breakfast trail in Tasmania.

04.01.2022 Still cooking. Tonight we made one of my favourites, spinach soup. Team effort.

03.01.2022 There is now a little change to the front fence, otherwise the features for our Promo Video have not changed. Still happily welcoming our guests ... https://vimeo.com/293539303

02.01.2022 Preparing for our Swedish Christmas smorgasbord, which we have on Christmas Eve. Pin-boned Atlantic salmon. Traditional method is with salt, sugar and (lots of) dill. Luckily we grow our own dill. This one is with grated (homegrown) beetroot, lemon zest, and of course a bit of vodka. Couple of days in the fridge to cure then ready to slice.

01.01.2022 Loving our kombucha on this wintry weather.

01.01.2022 Loving our new fence.

01.01.2022 I hope we get to see and hold on to one of these!
