15.01.2022 The relaunch of Radar as part of the 22nd Biennale of Sydney is incredibly exciting. For me, and for Noakes Group, this project is inclusive of a variety of di...fferent cultures, and to connect with First Nations communities in our region is an important project for us. On top of this, the art of boat building is incredibly valuable to our history. So to us, vessels like Radar are alive; theyre living, and they have personality. Given that Radar is over 73 years old, the original artisans that built her are no longer with us. We are now seeing a new generation of artisans making their mark and changing history. So to me this is living art. A few of my words from last nights event, pictured here with Barbara Moore, the Chief Executive Officer, Biennale of Sydney, and Grace Dlabik, BE. Thanks again to all - Sean. Photograph: Zan Wimberley Rosman Cruises See more

09.01.2022 Naval Group claim top 10 finish in the 75th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. The crew cross the finish line in 2 days, 4 hours and 26 minutes and 32 sec...onds to place 8 th across the line and second in its division. Naval Group, a world leader in naval defence, has successfully concluded its 75th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race campaign, placing 8 th amongst a bumper fleet of 154 yachts. Launching its 69-foot mini maxi for its second Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race quest on 26 December, the boat overcame very light winds throughout the race to secure a spot in the top 10. Led by Sean Langman, Managing Director of Noakes Group and one of Australias most experienced offshore yachtsmen, the boat performed brilliantly in the given conditions after a gruelling pre-race maintenance and training schedule. The vastly experienced Australian-French crew hand selected by Langman and with close to 100 Hobart races between them, departed Sydney Harbour in a solid position before making their way down the east coast. Despite the slowing winds causing concern on night one, Naval Group gained ground cruising at 20 knots as it sailed down the Tasmanian coast. This years race was one for smart boats, not fast boats, and the smart ones found quick solutions to the obstacles encountered along the way. Our team pulled together from before the start right up until we crossed the finish line, and placing in the top 10 is evidence of that. We put so much effort into the getting the boat raceready that the highlight for me and the crew was making it across the start line, said Sean Langman. Naval Groups international crew continue to go from strength-to-strength and in the 12 months since its last Sydney Hobart race, Naval Group has improved both its line honours ranking and its overall corrected time placement, up from 39 in 2018 to 12 this year*. Originally launched in 2008 as a RP65 called Moneypenny, the Naval Group yacht has raced in Australian and international waters. #navgeek Rolex Sydney Hobart 2019 Andrea Francolini

09.01.2022 Incredible precision work by Noakes Group to install the massive 4-tonne Gardiner engine in Radar, just prior to her launch in March. Radar will be returning t...o service soon as a feature of the Biennale of Sydney, as an immersive experience in collaboration with artist Grace Dlabik, whose vision is portrayed on the skin of the vessel. Throughout the exhibition, Radar will be referred to as Haiveta, and pays homage to the richness of Pasifika womens markings, a tradition passed down through generations which has been disrupted through the effects of colonisation and the impact of missionaries inflicting shame for sacred practices. Bookings for Haiveta open soon - stay tuned. #biennaleofsydney #art #rosmancruises #noakesgroup
