14.01.2022 Today our skilled dentist Dr Adrian and assistant Talia performed a grafting procedure using a patient's own plasma cells from a blood sample we took from them in house! The benefits to this type of grafting is that there is better healing time, less chance of infection and because we are using the body's own cells, the surgeries are more successful.
14.01.2022 Happy Easter from the team at Noarlunga House Dental. Here are our top tips to help your teeth through the day of chocolate... 1. Don’t graze: The more frequently you eat easter eggs, the longer your tooth enamel will be exposed to nasty acids produced by the bacteria that metabolize sugar in your mouth. So it's best to eat your eggs and then take a break for a few hours at least. ... 2. Brush 30 minutes after eating: Brush your teeth straight after you've hit the choccy eggs. This gets rid of the chocolatey deposits so the bacteria has nothing to feed on. 3. Brush twice a day throughout the holidays: Brush teeth morning and night for two to three minutes and make sure you're flossing daily. Always brush your teeth before hitting the sack, you don't want to leave your teeth vulnerable to acid attack overnight! 4. Drink lots of water: Drink lots of water whilst eating chocolate, this helps to neutralise the acids produced by the bacteria. What favourite Easter traditions will you be partaking in this year?

04.01.2022 We are proud that our practice meets all National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards. This is the result of our heavy investment in safety and infection control protocols that might take other practices years to develop and meet same standards. What does this Accreditation mean ? ... It simply means that: - Our infection control process is solid and flawless where there is no room for errors or overlooks. All instruments and surfaces are safely sterilised and disinfected. We have a strict barcode tracking system that ensures every process is efficient and our patients and staff are protected. - Our staff, systems, facilities, and equipment are operating with the highest standards of Safety recommended by Australian and NZ infection control guidelines. We believe in only one service standard, the best one.
04.01.2022 You would think that as dentists, we must hate Halloween.. NOPE!! There is nothing wrong with enjoying sweet treats, but it does helps to be aware of the best ways to care for your teeth while enjoying your sweets! Here are some helpful tips: -Choose your candy carefully! Avoid hard candy and other sweets that stay in your mouth for a long time. Aside from how often you snack, the length of time sugary food is in your mouth plays a role in tooth decay. -Avoid sticky situations! Sticky candies cling to your teeth. The stickier candies, like toffee and gummy bears, take longer to get washed away by saliva, increasing the risk for tooth decay. -Brush twice a day and never miss your dental appointments with us!
