16.01.2022 A copy of the email I received from Onkaparinga - Welcome to the Noarlunga Aquatic and Recreation Centre . The Council is excited to be managing the centre once again and providing a more diverse range of aquatic and other activities for our community We have closed the pool for this week (21-27 December) to allow for important repairs and upgrades to be completed along with a deep clean to ensure it is better presented for you ... I am writing to let you know that we have received the membership and multi visit pass information from Belgravia. We are still establishing our new software to import your membership details and this may take some time to convert and process. In the interim we want to make sure you have access to the facility regardless. You will continue to receive updates on our progress with the change-over and as a gesture of goodwill entry for everybody until 31 January 2021 is $5.00 per session - access to all areas. We appreciate the many comments and suggestions that have been posted on Facebook and we will be reviewing these as part of providing longer-term value to the community. Direct Debit members Simply present your membership card to the front counter and we will verify your membership number and provide you access to the facility. (Please bring identification e.g. drivers license) Rest assured, any payments made in advance will be credited to your account so no one will miss out. We will need to arrange a new direct debit authority with the Council which we will advise to you in the new year. We will be in contact in the new years to advise you of how this will occur. Multi visit card holders For all multi visit card holders there will be a replacement card for you to collect at the front counter. Due to the large number of cards that need to be prepared, this may not be ready for collection until the new year. Special Christmas - New Year opening times The pool will re-open on Monday 28 December 2020 - Monday 4 January we will be open 10:00am until 3:00pm. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your families and look forward to seeing you at your next visit to the centre in 2021. 09.01.2022 A message from Masters Swimming Australia to all our members. Cancellation of the 2021 National Championships. Dear masters swimming community,... The National Board of Management (NBM) of Masters Swimming Australia (MSA) in conjunction with the organising committee of the 2021 Masters National Swimming Championships regrettably advise that the 2021 National Championships scheduled to take place in Darwin between April 30 May 4 will be cancelled. As a direct result of the COVID-19 restrictions, State border closures and heavily restricted travel, and uncertainty of when and where outbreaks may occur, it was considered necessary to cancel next year’s event. We would like to thank our members across Australia who have been training with the 2021 Nationals in sight. Keep swimming! MSA and the National Swim Meet Committee will work together with the Branches to develop a special month of swimming next year to further connect our membership while raising awareness and funds towards mental health. We would like to acknowledge the support of our event sponsors and partners and thank the organising committee of the 2021 Nationals, for their hard work and dedication. While the National Championships for 2020 and 2021 are not to be, we will look forward to the 2022 Nationals in Sydney, and 2023 in Tasmania! The Branches and clubs of MSA are working hard to create fantastic swimming events for members, so continue to enjoy your swimming closer to home with your club and club members. To all our swimming community, stay safe and maintain your social distance and most importantly have fun. Regards, Jane Noake Acting Chair, Masters Swimming Australia Sarah Pisterman General Manager, Masters Swimming Australia
